Chapter one
	The Shepherd Chapter One   "O Zion, that brings good tidings,  ... get you up into the high mountain;  O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, lift up your voice with strength;  lift it up,  be not afraid;  say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God ! Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him:  behold His reward is with Him, and ... His work before Him. He shall feed His flock like a Shepherd, ... He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being His counselor, has taught Him? " - Isaiah 40:9 -13 ___ This above Scripture does not talk about a God who is far away. We do not have to just "believe" in Him, ... or spend our time ... praying for a "visit". What we are talking about here is a specific kind of ... "relationship". We are living, being, and dwelling, in this relationship; and speaking, and ministering out of it. This is what the Gospel is about.  The Apostle Peter preached, "This is that, which was (also) spoken by the prophet Joel ..."  (Acts 2: 16-21;  Joel 2: 21-32)                                   "Concept" Religion  (in our world) Preachers, and Bible Colleges, are prone to fall into the putting forward of "concept" religion. Rather than shepherding individuals into relationship with the Spirit of God, ... it is easier to "talk about" it. Rather than imparting to the individual by the Spirit of prophecy, and the laying on of hands,  ... it is easier to "wow" them with intellect. In our own strength we have introduced principles of faith, times and dispensations, history, future, principles of success, ... Christian living, etc. Whereas the picture that will unfold here ... will turn to the voice of the Spirit and fulfillment of Word,  and relationship. The promised Shepherding relationship that the prophets foretold  is now being fulfilled in our day. We live, and move, and have our being in the midst of the Spirit of God.  He doesn't come from afar. Learning to drink of His refreshing, and eat of His Spiritual truth, ... is like drinking from the cool waters, and feeding in the green pastures. We are in the world,  ... but not of the world's ever-changing turmoils, and ideas. This is the enjoyment of abiding with the Shepherd.   (the Spirit of God) See:  St. Mark 1:15,  Acts 17: 27-28,  St. John 10:27,  ch. 21:16-17         ____   Jesus proclaimed,    ...    "I am the good Shepherd: the good Shepherd gives ... his life for the sheep. That's why my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.  I and my Father ... are one." - St. John 10:11,17,30 ____ At this point, I want to caution you to go very slow.  Many of the things that you think you know ... may not be so. For so long we have heard carnal teachings about the "titles" that Jesus called himself, and we have glorified these titles ... as being "names of Jesus". The problem with these teachings is that they are "out of touch" with the teachings of Jesus and the early apostles, and they attempt to defeat the real message,  like the abiding message. To understand what I am about to say, one must go back, and re-read the Gospel of John from the first chapter, and then, read further (beyond chapter 10), through to chapter 18. But first, let me finish sharing with you this powerful truth of "abiding",  and you will soon come to realize  what it means to be "born again of the Spirit of God". ___ You will learn what the early apostles meant when they said ... "for as many as are led by the Spirit of God ... they are the sons and daughters of  God" (Romans ch.8, Acts 2:16-18,38-40)	Pgs 1 - 7

Chapter two
	The Prophet Chapter Two   For so long, we have been taught the message of Jesus as Savior;  ... but we haven't understood the message of Jesus ... as  "prophet". We have been taught that Jesus died for us, in our place, and that he was the Son of God, the only begotten Son of God, ... and that "if we believe in Him we shall not perish". This teaching of itself will not lead you to the "abiding life". Let's  ...   Look ! "Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, this is of a truth that prophet, that should come into the world." - St. John 6:14                                      "It is the Spirit that quickens: the flesh profits nothing:  the words that I speak unto you, ... they are Spirit, and they are life." - St. John 6:63 "Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not my own, but His that sent me. If any man will do His will he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." - St. John 7:16,17                              "I have many things to say, and to judge of you:  but He that sent me is true;  and I speak to the world  those things which  I have heard of Him. (They understood not, that he spoke to them of the Father) Then said Jesus unto them,  ... when you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.   And He that sent me is with me:  and the Father has not left me alone;  for I do always those things that please Him."                                        - St. John 8:26-29                                      "The words that I speak unto you,  I speak  not of myself:  but, the Father that dwells in me,  He does the works. Believe me,  that I am in the Father,  and the Father in me:  or else, believe me  for the very works' sake." - St. John 14:10,11 "Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:  for Moses truly said unto the fathers, ... a "prophet" shall the Lord your God raise up unto you ."  - Acts 3:19-22                                                          "I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God:  for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse;  and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in Righteousness doth he judge, and make war.         His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;  and he had a name written that no man knew,  ... but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and His name is called  ...  the Word of God." - Revelation 19:10-13 ____ Whenever Jesus stood up and made bold Statements such as, "I am the Good Shepherd",  "I am the Bread of Life",  "I am the Way,  the Truth, and the Life",  "I am the Living Water",  "I am the Light of the World", and so many other "expressive" characters, he was speaking out of ... the Spirit of God. Whenever Jesus told parables, and other dark sayings, he was speaking out of the Spirit of God. Whenever Jesus did miracles, healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils, or, showed forgiveness, he was moving as the Spirit of God directed him.  He was "directed" by the Spirit of Prophecy.  He was ... "Word expressed".                                                                   When Jesus spoke forth saying, "I am the Good Shepherd", he was in fact, speaking out of the "flow" of the Spirit of God.  He was speaking a "prophetic utterance" ... of the Holy Spirit. When he said, "drink of me",  it was the "prophetic" message of the Spirit of God  calling unto mankind, not an attempt at a new "title" that he was trying to gain.   He was the great "Reconciler", ... and so should we be. He was "Spirit Word" expressed;  the Light of the world;  and so should we be. Until we recognize that the same Spirit that was the source and voice of the ministry of Jesus, ... is our source and voice for our ministry, ... then we will never know what it is to "walk in the light", or to "abide".  (1 John 1:1-7;  2:27;  1 Peter 4:11;  Romans 8:11) The intent of God  (the living word) becomes evident in our lives ... as we wait upon Him. The flow of Spirit realized Word comes to our hearts, and minds; and as we express it in faith  ... we become "light". The same voice that called people to the flow of the Kingdom, as Jesus cried aloud in the temple, is the same Spiritual voice that is calling out in our time, through those that "abide".	Pgs 8 - 13

Chapter three
	The Word Chapter Three   Should we abide in the "life-style" of the Kingdom ?   No, be careful.  Abide rather, ... in the Word of the Spirit.                                       "For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance:  but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that which he has. Because they seeing, ... see not;  and hearing, they hear not, neither do they understand. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed;  lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and  should be converted, and I should heal them. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets, and righteous men, have desired to see what you see, and to hear what you hear, and have not. Hear the ... parable of the Sower When anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one and takes away that which was sown in his heart.  This is he that ... received seed by the "wayside". But, he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the Word, and with joy received it;  yet he has no root in himself,  but endures for awhile:  and when tribulation, or persecution, arises because of the "Word",  ... he  is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the Word;  and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the Word, and he becomes "unfruitful". But, he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the Word and understands it;  who also bears "fruit",  and brings forth, some a hundred fold, some sixty fold, and some thirty." - St. Matthew 13:12-23 _____ "I am the Good Shepherd, I lay my life down for the sheep", Jesus said.  (St. John 10:11-15)   ...  (this is  ... "Spirit driven"  Word) There was a time when I didn't want to lay down my life for the sheep.  It seemed to me as though I had no life of my own.  Everything that I did was under scrutiny.  I had to live for other people's Christianity, not just my own belief. I had no liberty. I was always living for others. I didn't like it, and I didn't want to give my life for the people.                     When you repent, and die to your self-driven ambition, new Spiritual "realizations" come forth as His Light.  (read  Isaiah ch. 58,  Isaiah ch. 61)    We live in a new "advent".  The advent of wisdom, and success, is on the prowl. The "new day" of the glory of the Lord  will arise. "Come forth, all you that labor, and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me." Feeding on new habits, new decisions, new comforts, new successes, new friends, ... new information;  all will be yours. New decision-making processes are on the way. The mind becomes enlightened to discern spiritual realities: free from condemnation, ... to "obey". Carnality is self-driven.  Carnality will not abide in the Light. The desolation of carnality, and the resurrection of Spirituality and Word, is the entrance to Life:   the ... abiding life. (See:  1 Corinthians 2:14,15,  2 Corinthians 4:6,  Colossians 3:10, Romans 6:14,17-22,  Philippians 2:13) ____                     "In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the  "Word" was God.  The same was in the beginning  ... with God. All things were made by Him;  and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was "life";  ... and that life was the "light" of men.  And the "light" ... shines  ... in darkness."                                          - St. John 1:1-5         The "Word" ... became flesh, and dwelt among us. This is a "Word" issue: ... a "light" issue.  Forget about the Jesus ministry  ... for a moment. What we are referring to here is not a man named Jesus, but rather the "Word" becoming flesh, and dwelling among us. This above Scripture does not say, "In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, ... and Jesus was God." There can be no abiding ... until you understand that you are relating to ... Spiritual Word. Today, we have people saying that Mary spoke to them, or Jesus spoke to them, ... or someone else spoke to them. The Word is the "intent", and "essence", of God.  (St John 6:63) In the Kingdom of God there is resident the ... "Mighty Word of God". "Word"  ...   "Word"   ...   "Word" And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us.  This is the "Light"... that came to the earth in the form of the Jesus' ministry. "And, from that time forward, ... Jesus began to preach the Kingdom of God." - St. Matthew 4:17 The Veil, the Priest, the Sacrifice, and Jesus (the Christ), were all expressions of God's word, and presence of intent: the effecting of salvation for man, and the bringing in  of the Kingdom of God. Faith in this "expressed" Word is the gracious belief of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. There is no abiding ... until you understand that all of these things that Jesus spoke about himself, are "yours".  (The Gospel of the Kingdom of God ... is to hearken unto the "Spiritual Word" flow   - see Acts ch.2) "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light"                                           - St. John 3:19 The issue here is the "Light".  (expressed Word)                          "Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write unto you, that your joy might be full.  This is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is "light",   and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But, if we walk in the light, as He is in the "light", we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. (sinful ways)   The anointing which you have received of Him abides in you,  ... and you need not that any man teach you:  but as the same anointing teaches you of all things and is truth and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ... you shall abide in Him.   And now, abide in Him, that when He shall appear we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming." - 1 John chs.1,2 (part) (See also:  St. John chs.14,15)            How can you "abide", unless you can prophesy ? "My sheep hear my voice, and they follow me."                                       - St. John 10: 27-29 Are you ready ?	Pgs 14 - 21

Chapter four
	The Light Chapter Four   Prophecy Let's look at the interesting life of Ezekiel, as he walked with God. In this example, we will see the importance of prophetic word as God declares His "light".  Ezekiel  33:1,2 - prophesy to the people. 34: 1,2 ... to the Shepherds of Israel.   35: 1,2   ...   to  a  mountain.   36: 1,2  ... to the mountains of Israel.   37: 1 - 4  ...   to the  "dry bones".   38: 1 -     ...   to the nations.   39: 1 -     ...   to the nations.   40: ... Visions of the Spirit of the LORD then ... Awareness,  and  Dominion,   ...  the  Lord  is there.  (ch.41-48)                                      This is abiding.  This is the power of the Kingdom of God.   (Word  "expressed") How can one "abide" if he or she can't see or ... hear,  Spiritually ? But, take heart.  Remember that God is reconciling the world unto Himself; for this is what the Gospel message is all about. This is a Spiritual Kingdom.  (St. John 3: 3-19 In most of the cases of prophetic description of the Shepherd, the sheep are found scattered, weak, sick, in bondage, and at a "loss". (Isaiah ch. 61-64, Ezekiel ch. 34) You may feel like one of these sheep, but take heart, for this is what the prophetic gospel is "all about". It is the Word that brings Light in the midst of darkness.  It is the Word that restores, and brings life. Prophesy ! It is the Spirit of the LORD ... that is upon me.  (St. Luke ch.4)   His Kingdom is here; and His Word builds and forms it. In Ezekiel chapter 34, we see carnal shepherds who didn't minister from the Spirit of God.   They were pretending to be shepherds, but were making carnal decisions. In the book of Job, his counselor friends did not speak the "thing that was right".  (even though they were religious - Job ch.42)   There is never a time when we know so much that we can counsel out of our own knowledge, or experience. You can't prophesy unless you "abide"; and you can't "abide" ... unless you "prophesy".  "... after the Holy Ghost is come upon you, you shall be witnesses unto me"    (Acts 1:8)  "And Peter said,  ... This is that which the prophet Joel spoke of ..."  (Acts 2:14-18, 38-40)                     Jesus was a "light" in a dark place. That's what the earthly ministry of Jesus was about. "That it might be fulfilled which was  spoken by the prophet Isaiah (ch.9)  saying, the people which sat in darkness saw great light;  and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death, light is sprung up."   (St. Matthew 4:12-17) In the beginning, it says in Genesis chapter one,         "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, ... Let there be Light:   and there was Light." The Spiritual Word of God has a restorative nature about it, and often times is corrective as well. The light that springs up is restorative.  It heals, it sets free, it builds up (even) the old "waste places".  It anoints ... to preach.  (Isaiah ch.61) Don't wait for the right conditions.  Wait for the word. Don't complain about the darkness.  Be led ... of the Spirit. On the last and "big" day of the feast, Jesus stood up and prophesied  ... "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink".   (this spake he of the Spirit.  Many of the people said, this is the Prophet   - St. John 7: 37-40)  ___                       A "light" in a dark place    "Lazarus, come forth"  (St. John ch.11) "the  fig tree, cursed" (St. Mark ch.11)     "the man with the infirmity healed" (St. John ch.5)      "Ananias and Sapphira fell down dead" (Acts ch. 5) (this is all  ... "Presence") ___ Speak the "Word" of the LORD                "The LORD is my Shepherd;  I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures:  He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness ... for His names sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:  for You are with me; Your rod, and Your staff;  ... they comfort me.      You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies:  You anoint my head with oil;  my cup runs over. Surely, goodness, and mercy, shall follow me all the days of my life: and I  will dwell in the house of the LORD ... forever."              - Psalms 23 ____ "All power is given unto me, in heaven, and in earth"   (St. Matthew 28:18) "For as the Father has "life" in Himself, even so, the Son has "life" in himself."  (St. John 5:26,30)                 ____ Understanding   "I, (Paul), cease not to give thanks for you,  making mention of you in my prayers;  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,  the Father of glory,  may give unto you  the Spirit of wisdom and revelation  in the knowledge of him:  that the eyes of your understanding  ... being enlightened;  that you may know  ...  what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe,  according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He  raised him  from  the dead and set him at His own right hand in heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all in all."                                           - Ephesians 1: 16-23 "That you might be filled with the knowledge of His will, in all wisdom, and Spiritual understanding ... "                                          - Colossians 1: 8-19                                                             "He that received seed into the good ground, and he that hears the Word, and understands it: also bears fruit, and brings forth, some hundred fold, some sixty,  some thirty."                                         - St. Matthew 13: 23          * Prophesying over a Crowd     You will see    ... 1. Some of you will repent from sin, and      sickness. 2.  Some of you will fall down and worship. 3.  Some of you are drawn to preach. The well is deep ... follow Me.  (abide) The Messiah (the anointed one), that the prophets foretold, was the word of grace, redemption, salvation, and reconciliation unto God.  (Ephesians ch.1)  He was not just a carnal leader.  ____ God is now preparing a people of Spiritual Word. The vision of the LORD will come upon you.  You will either come;  or you will flee. Light  ... "has arisen" !   (St. John 3: 18) "And I will direct their work in truth,  ... and I will make an everlasting covenant with them." - Isaiah 61:8 When His ideas become our ideas, then we become citizens of the Kingdom of God.   All that we have discussed (up to this point) about abiding has been at the introductory level. We have discussed the essential truth of Spirituality, and the expressed Word.  (St. John 3:3-19) We have discussed the importance of prophesying, and knowing ... what the Spirit's intent is. We have discussed the "light", and the Kingdom of God. Now, I want to take you ... to the next step.  From a Prophet ... to a Priest "You also, as lively stones, are built up into a Spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Christ Jesus.      You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a (special, preserved) people;  that you should show forth  the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:  which in times past were not a people, but are now  ... the people of God." - 1 Peter 2:5,9 These are "royal" priests because they are priests of the Kingdom of God; and they bear the King's Word, Name, and Service.  (see: Isaiah ch.61, St. Luke 4:15-21)	Pgs 22 - 32

Chapter five
	The Priest Chapter Five   "Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and has made us kings and priests unto God (his Father);  to him be glory  and dominion for ever and ever.  Amen "                                       - Revelation 1:5,6      This above scripture could have just as easily have been translated to say  authoritative stewards, and priests; as the Greek word "basile'us" just simply means a "foundation of power". Just as we have discussed the Prophet, and how the message is of utmost importance;  now, we will discuss the spirit of the Priest, and how the "service" of this ministry centers around reconciliation, and atonement. The Priest is the mediator between God and the human. The Prophet can speak ... with no concern.  The Priest serves out of total concern, and expectation. The Prophet can speak ... with no personal dedication. The Priest is a consecrated person of God who serves others to reconcile them to God. Words like "wait", renewing, seeing, refreshment, guidance, and purpose,  ... all become evident, and important to the Priest. Spiritual restoration, and flow, become the agenda in the Kingdom of God, and in this world.                                       The area of Priesthood is the area of function. When the Prophet takes the towel, and puts it around his, or her, waist, and then begins to serve the people of faith; this is a priestly function.  (St. John 13:3-9)                                                              Although all Kingdom ministry is born out of prophetic, Spirit-driven word  (1 Peter 4:10,11),  an understanding of the Royal Priesthood is important, as it encompasses all the other developing ministries of the believer.  (Ephesians ch.4) ____ Saul  (the "wanna-be" priest) There was a young man who had a stirring in his heart to do something meaningful with his life; and his heart leaned toward keeping God's religion pure. He lived in a time when the secular Roman empire ruled over his beloved family, and nation; and to make matters worse, now there was this horrible distraction of the masses who were claiming that someone named Jesus was the promised prophet of the Jewish scriptures. In this uncertain time, he left his home in Tarsus, and went to Jerusalem to study in the best schools that he could find. (Acts 22:1-5) Now, after several years, he was beginning to make a name for himself as a bright and up-coming defender of the faith for the Jewish religion.                                     A debate was becoming embarrassingly public between a man named Stephen, and some of the recognized teachers from the area that surrounded Jerusalem.  It was also becoming apparent that this Stephen knew what he was talking about, and many people were now hearing about this Jesus, and believing in him, as the "One" spoken of by the prophets of old. (Acts 6:7-10) This looked like an event that Saul could really get involved with. Over the next few days the debate heated up, and the "defenders of the faith" ... developed a plan.  They would kill the man, Stephen, and find as many of these new believers as they could, ... and silence them. Well, Stephen was killed;  ... and Saul had found his cause. (Acts 6:11-14, ch.7:51-60, ch.8:1,3, ch.9:1-2)   At this point,   ... I want to cut into the story. We have a young man (Saul), who had a desire to learn about God's Scripture, and ways, and was even willing to fight to keep God's Law in the right place in society. The record shows that he did everything right, and that he should be a prominent man of "his society".  (Philippians 3) And, do you know what ?   He probably was a prominent leader in   his society.  But, that's where his "wanna-be" priestly service ended.                                     Saul was now on a mission.  He had received letters from the High Priest granting him the authority to cleanse the city of Damascus of all of these "contrary believers";  and now, he and a helpful group of followers were on their way  ... to do the "right thing".  (so they thought) As they traveled on their way, embroiled, and agitated, in concept religion, ... armed with credentials;  they were certainly the picture of the active missionary for the  "cause". He was the perfect man ... in his society;  but he was about to meet the "society" of the Kingdom of God. ____ A bright light ... appeared.   A "voice" was heard.   He was "struck down".  (Acts 9:3-9)    Change ... was here. The change that took place in his life was drastic.  He lost his independence, and became acquainted with the "presence of God". This made him a radically different type of missionary, and changed the spirit of his "ministry" to that of a priest. ____ The "priest" is a mediator between God and man:  a minister in holy things on man's behalf.  Study and "concept religion" don't qualify.  The abiding presence is of necessity.  (St. John 14:16-27;  ch. 16:7-15;  Acts 1:2-8) The "anointing" makes a difference "What will you have me to do ?"  - Saul asked in Acts 9:6               "I come to do your will, O God." - Jesus said in Hebrews 10:7,9 Saul's learned message was one of fundamentals, concepts, principles, and ideas that were passed on to him from a previous  "active" era. Although he should have known that God progressively fulfills, and unfolds, His Word before us, ... he seemed to be still living in the past. From his training he could introduce people to a belief, but was in no position to know, or do, the will of God. God was not alive, or present, in his world;  ... and his efforts would only give people an empty "concept". ____ The "Conscience" of the Human The abiding presence of the Holy Spirit is a relationship; and our faith in this relationship is directly related to our conscience. When Adam and Eve were tempted in the Garden of Eden, it was the area of their conscience that would become defiled.  When God's Spirit moved about in the Garden, calling out to them, they went and hid themselves. It is this area of men and women's lives that the priest is called to serve. The idea of a person confessing to a priest  ...  is in order. The idea of a priest not restoring a hearing relationship between God and the individual ... is wrong.	Pgs 33 - 40

Chapter six
	The Steward Chapter Six   As we have previously noted, the "priest" is a person who is consecrated to God's service ... to mediate between God and man. It is equally important to remember that our relationship with God does not only deal with forgiveness.  "Stewardship" is what we are being restored to. To leave someone in a false state of forgiveness when they have not been restored to a place of "abiding in the presence" is the work of a false priest, and "concept" religion. (St. John 15:1-8)   "... there was a tabernacle, that the priests went always into, accomplishing the service of God.  (in their time) Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices that could not make him that did the service perfect  ... as pertaining to the conscience. But Christ, becoming a high priest, and the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God:  (how much more shall this)  purge your conscience from dead works ... to serve the living God."                                                - Hebrews ch.9 As you read Hebrews chs.9 and 10 you will see the example of Christ's priesthood as he redeemed the conscience of the wayward sinner;  ... and then we are led right into the great faith chapters of the obedience of God's people.  (ch.11,12,13 - see also: 1 Peter 4:10,11)                        Hard Sayings  (... take your time) The cross of Christ no more created a "new" era, than did the Egyptian exile, or the tabernacle, or the temple, ... or any other event. When we are "abiding" in an obedient outflow of God's expression  (image)  ... there is no beginning, and no end. (no "eras" in God's "word", there is only "I am") When Jesus spoke of himself as the "vine", and that his disciples should abide in the "vine" (St. John 15:), he was once again referring to himself as the "word".  (St. John ch.1) When one begins to see that God's word is dominant, and eternal, then it is possible to see what constitutes His Kingdom.  (it is ruled, and controlled, by His eternal "word") When one begins to chop up His Word into time frames it becomes reduced to temporal boundaries, and is taken out of the realm of the Kingdom of God, not to mention the fact of limiting the comprehension of it.  The Bible Studies that go on to explain the "dispensations" of God in His dealings in the earth, have been taught by the Fundamentalist Evangelical Movements of America, and the world, (in the last 150 years), and do not do justice to understanding the Word of God.   Rather than bringing a person into relationship with the presence of God, it serves only intellectualism, and Pharisaical religious pride.  (the "word" becomes a Book) Dispensationalism   (Schofield and Ryrie study Bibles) In the 1830's, a missionary named John Darby, arrived in the U.S., from Britain. (Brethren Movement) He brought with him some new theories about the end of the world, and believed that he had figured out God's earthly plan from the Scriptures, and that he could put it into "characterized" periods of time throughout history. He concluded that there were 7 of these  dispensations.   (wrongfully taught as eras) 1. Innocence  (creation of Adam & Eve to expulsion) 2. Conscience  (Genesis 3:7 to the Flood) 3. Human Government  (Genesis 8:15 to the call of Abraham) 4. Promise  (Genesis 12:1 to the Law on Sinai) 5. Law & Disciplinary Correction (Exodus 19 to the Cross) 6. Church & dispensation of Holy Spirit     (Acts 2 to Christ's return   - also, has been called the age of "grace")  7. The Kingdom for 1,000 years  (Revelation 20:4 to eternal state) Many debates, divisions, and wasted efforts, have resulted from this human intellect based attempt. We must repent and turn back to God.  The "word" of God came to the apostle John repeatedly ... instructing the people to "hear what the Spirit was saying".  (Revelation ch.2,3) For some folks, their religious pride will face them head on now, and obstruct them from knowing the abiding presence of the Spirit of God, and they will continue to abide in the "comfort zone" of their destructive religion. Because I think this is so contrary to realization of the abiding presence, I'm going to take a moment to look at this before we move on.                    In the writings of the apostle Paul, ... four times he uses the term "dispensation".  (1 Corinthians 9:17,  Ephesians 1:10, 3:2,  and Colossians 1:25) This is the only use of the term, and it is translated from the Greek word "oiko'no'mia", which means the "administration of a steward".   It has nothing to do with a "time period", ... but has everything to do with  word expressed. "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of:    for necessity  is laid upon me;  yea, woe is unto me,  if I preach not the gospel!   For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward;  but if against my will, ... an "oiko'no'mia" (stewardship)  of the Gospel is committed unto me." -1 Corinthians 9:16,17 "Wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He has purposed in Himself:  (... Word)          That in the "oiko'no'mia  (administration)  of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ,  both which are in heaven,  and which are on earth;  even in Him." - Ephesians 1:10 These Scriptures have more to do with the necessity of the administration, and stewardship, of God's will in both heaven, and earth. This is the "expression of God's word", and the stewardship, carried on by the Royal Priesthood.                     Just as we have seen the importance of the "oiko'no'mia", the stewardship of the priesthood, now we will look at the way in which we receive this timeless "word".        ____ "But now in Christ Jesus, for through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.          Now, you are no more strangers, and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  and  are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,  Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord: in whom you also are  built together for a habitation of God  ... through the Spirit. For this cause, I Paul, if you have heard of the "oiko'no'mia" (stewardship) ... of the grace of God which is given to me ... for you: How that by revelation,  he made known unto me the mystery;  ... which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,  as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;  ... whereof I was made a minister to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,  which from the beginning of the world has been hid in God,  who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church ... the manifold wisdom of God,  according to the "eternal purpose"  which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord."                                 - Ephesians 2:13 - 3:11 * Note: "the eternal purpose ... from the beginning of the world."    ____                            "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the oiko'no'mia of God which is given to me for you,  ... to  fulfill  the "word" of God; Even the mystery which has been hid from the ages and from generations,  but now is made manifest to his saints:          To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery  ... which is Christ in you,  the hope of glory,  whom we preach warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom;  that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:   whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me  mightily. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord,  so  walk ... in him" - Colossians 1:25-29,  2:6    ____ You may have to slow down now, and dwell on the content of this last few pages, for I'm sure that this understanding is not one that you are accustomed to seeing, or hearing:  and, after all, the whole central truth of this "oiko'no'mia", ... is that you wait upon His "revelation" to you,  ... and work out of it. In the next few pages I will work with you, and help you to become accustomed to recognizing  ... His eternal  "word".                       Although the term "dispensation" is not referred to in any other scriptures, the Greek word "oiko'no'mia" is used once more by Jesus, ... and once by Peter. Peter "As every man has received the gift, even so, minister the same one to another, as good  (oiko'no'mo's),  or stewards, of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;  if any man minister, let him do it with the ability that God gives:  that God in all things  may be glorified through Jesus Christ;  to  (God)  be praise, and dominion, for ever and ever." - 1 Peter 4:10,11 Jesus  (a parable) "And he said unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward  (oiko'no'mo's);  and the same was accused unto him that he  had wasted his goods.          And he called him and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of you ?   Give an account of your (oiko'no'mia)  stewardship;  for you may no longer be steward. Then the steward said within himself,  what shall I do ?   for the lord  ... taketh away from me the  "oiko'no'mia". I am resolved what to do,  that when I am put out of the "oiko'no'mia",  that they may receive me into their houses.                     So, he called every one of his lord's debtor's, and said unto the first, How much do you owe  unto my lord ?    And he said, a hundred measures of oil.  He said unto him, take your bill,  and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then he said to another,  How much do you owe ?  And he  said, a hundred measures of wheat.  And he said unto him, take your bill and write eighty. And the lord "commended"  the unjust steward,  because he had done wisely."            - St. Luke 16:1-8 Although the man in the story was an "unjust" steward, Jesus said that his lord commended him for his strategy. The man had gone out and "restored favor" amongst the debtors. Actually, he was non-judgmental, showed mercy, and forgiveness; and "kept the flow alive" between the debtors and his lord. The problem was that he was serving "self", ... not his lord; and he was seeking "men's favor" so that his future would be secure. This story is located in the "restoration" chapters of Jesus' teachings   ... to his disciples.  (read: St. Luke 15) The Pharisees (a religious order of the day) were justifying themselves before men;  but they weren't stewards of restoration of the Kingdom of God.  (ch.16:13-16)                   Then, Luke says, Jesus preached about the Kingdom of God.  He was more interested in the restoration of the flow of God's expressed word, and the Kingdom of God, than he was in trying to secure his career in the popular religions of the day. Then, in chapters 17,18, we see the teachings of humility, forgiveness, ... and the flow of stewardship.  (oiko'no'mia)     This is the beginning of the "spirit" of the Priest:  the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.  (the "good news")    It is an opportunity for you to see what you are "called to".  This is the expression of "oiko'no'mia"  (dispensation) ... that God's humanity is called to. God's plan has ever been one of "grace". (Period)   And there has always been the call to enter in by "faith", and the expressed Word. (Period) (Abel, Noah, Abraham, the Publican, etc., and those of Hebrews ch.11) The dispensationalism introduced by John Darby, and promoted by the Schofield Study Bible, and the late Fundamentalist Evangelical Movements, lacks not only the spirit of "oiko'no'mia" (which is restorative), but also a recognition of the "boundless" expression of eternal Spirit word. It is a pathetic attempt to rationalize the "flow" (stop it dead), and to replace our living "oiko'no'mia" with dogma, and human intellect.  (pride, condemnation, and division, follow) We live in a time of democracy, and human information, but we lack Spiritual insight, and readiness.                     The seven "time periods" that Darby and his followers are promoting are as stated a few pages back, and other times, stated as the ages of "innocence", conscience, civil government, promise, law, grace, and Kingdom. Any of these truths that we see are experiential, and are circular, repetitive, and ... always present. ____ These realizations that we see are essential, and are present in the gospel of Christ, ... the expressed Word of God.  (Ephesians 3:9,10,11) These are the waftings of Spiritual light, ... rather than time periods.  We are speaking of "word" that is of the realm of the eternal.  (St. John 1:1-5, 3:1-36) As we are restoring our mind to believe in the "presence of the Almighty", ... I want to take you back on a trip through parts of John's vision in Revelation. You need to remember that this actually happened. Go back to the days that John was being visited by the vision.  He sees something going on in a realm much different than our "temporal" experience.  This is Spiritual, but remember that it is out from this realm, ... that all things are created. What he is seeing is "present tense".  That's what makes the difference in our religion.  He is not putting his confidence in what he knows "about" anything.  He is in the presence as a "beholder".  He is ...experiencing the mystery of a "thumos" (passion)  of God.   He is experiencing the reality of the "word". (Compare: Revelation 1:2, and Revelation 19:10)	Pgs 41 - 56

Chapter seven
	The Revelation Chapter Seven   In the opening chapter of John's written "revelation", there are several points of consideration that are helpful to us in order to bring out the understanding that we are looking for. "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants  ... things which must  shortly come to pass"  (vs.1) "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord,  ... which is, and which was, and which is to come, ... the Almighty." (vs.8) 1. In the statement, "shortly come to pass", ... the term (shortly)  is translated from two Greek words ("en", "tacho's")  which gives the understanding of a fixed position of time, and manifestation.  (like "revelation", or "expression") We could simplify it, and call it "God's timeless expressed Word";  part of which is manifested in the eternal realm, and part of which is manifested (at a time) in the temporal realm. 2. The statement, "I am the Alpha and the Omega", is the powerful understanding that God "encompasses" all the realm of "Word", (the beginning of the alphabet ... to the end), and that it is the "Word" realm that He takes all authority over.  Understand that His Word rules.  He is timeless, and we are just a part of this "expression". 3. Then, He shows a message to the seven churches which are in Asia in John's time. (vs.4,11)   (when He shows it, - it  is in existence)                              A further example of timeless (eternal) Word being manifested in two realms is found in Revelation ch.12. If you are familiar with the events surrounding the birth of Jesus  (St. Matthew ch.2), then you will find this example quite easy. "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven;  a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she, being with child, cried, travailing in birth,  and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven;  and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a manchild who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:  and her child was caught up unto God, and to His Throne.  (Comp: Hebrews 8:1, ch.12:2, Revelation 7:17,  ch.22:1-3) And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God,  ... that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was war in heaven.  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon;  and the dragon fought, and his angels, and prevailed not;  neither was their place found any more in heaven.              And the great dragon was cast out,  ... that old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world:  he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  (comp:  St. Luke 10:17,18) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,  Now, is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: (comp. St. Mark 1:14,15)  for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God, day and night.  (comp:  St. John 3:5-21) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the "word" of their testimony;  and they loved not their lives unto death.  (See Revelation 19:10, 1 Peter ch.4)       Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them.  Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!   For the devil is come down unto you,  ... having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place where she is nourished for a time, and times, and a half a time,  ...  (away) from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water (words)  as a flood after the woman, ... that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, ... and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."   (comp. Revelation 19:10)    - Revelation ch.12 Vastness The vastness of the "eternal realm" will never be understood by us.  The "realm of Light" will always confuse the carnal mind, and it is meant to be that way, for we are created to "submit" to it and to give glory unto God.  (St. John ch.14,15) There is such a blend of times, manifestations, wars, and wisdoms, involved in some of these visions, that all we can do ... is yield to the Almighty. When men and women of God experience this unusual realization of Word, ... they know that it is God for that is who they are bowing before.  The devil does not come to build God's Kingdom. It is also important to remember that God's "Word" is to serve His purpose.  (and fellowship of the saints) When John received this mighty revelation he was told to share it with the churches, specifically in his time, that they might be strengthened in oneness of purpose, and understanding, with Christ.   (the first several chapters of Revelation)	Pgs 57 - 62

Chapter eight
	The Message Chapter Eight   It is this issue of "message" ... that is so important to the student of the "abiding Presence" of God, and to functioning in the Kingdom of God, as a "Royal Priest". It is the difference between being a "priest of ordinance",  or being  part of the "Royal Priesthood". As we wait in the presence of God, His Spirit will momentarily prompt, and direct, ... our thoughts. As we stretch to see more, and give way to the Spiritual realm,  definite thoughts are formed. It is at this point, that out of good stewardship, we write these thoughts down.  These become "focal points" of our conversation with God's Spirit. In our times of service, issues will arise that form other concerns of discussion, and call for Spiritual insight. (an answer will be required from the Spirit of God) Is Your Religion  not  Being Noticed ? We have a tolerant Society, where everyone is allowed to "do their own thing". We must somehow break through that barrier to reach the "important area" of one's life ... so that he or she might be restored to oneness with God's Spirit. It is the area of conscience that we minister to as we deal with the barriers of guilt, fear, disillusionment, pride, and arrogance.  These issues are resolved by Spiritual light. We have no ability to minister to the "real needs" of the individual, church, or community, apart from the "vision" of the Holy Spirit. These are the issues of light, for restoration ministry.  (forgiveness is on its way ... as the Gospel is "realized") Paul, the apostle, gives lengthy discussion to this area of understanding as he compares carnal religious effort to that of Spiritual. (see:  Romans ch.8)                                                                    Let's Talk About Humanity      Someone says  ... "I like girls, ... I like to drink, ... I like to dance,  ... I like to party, ... I like to travel."     (I need this ... I just can't let this go) (Anything else ?) "I like to have money." God says, ... "I understand, I created it."      (and that's really not the issue)        Let's follow it through. "I lust for girls ..."  (or guys)        Why ? Lonely ?    Been hurt ?    Lack confidence ?     Like their company ?    Why ?     (is there an "issue of hurt",    or fear ?)          *God  wants  to "heal" ... these issues.                   The message that evangelists have been putting forward is that man must ... "change the symptoms". The problem with this message is that it's not the "message" and  "anointing" that Jesus had. "The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has anointed (consecrated) me to preach the gospel to the poor;  he has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,  to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."                                      - St. Luke 4:18,19 Churches are trying to get the congregation to "evangelize", but the message is wrong; there is no Spirit involved, and the motives   ... are questionable. In the prophet Joel's time, he said, "let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, saying, spare Your people, O LORD".  (Joel ch.2) It's the sparing, and restoring, that is done by the Spiritual presence of God.  He will restore.  We call the people to the place of the altar,  ... but He will restore. The prophet Isaiah spoke about the Spirit of reconciliation and  "healing".  (Isaiah 50:4,5, and ch.61) The "people of the porch" (Joel ch.2) are fringe people.  They are not getting the message.  They are not getting the healing.  (They are not being restored  to "spirituality") This is what makes the Spiritual priest different from that of the  "ordinance" priest.  "Restoration" by Spirit.  (See  St. Luke ch.15, St. Mark 16:20,  Acts 3:19, 1 Peter 2:5,9-12)            Help from Paul           We are fortunate to have one of the letters that the apostle Paul sent to the Roman believers.  We will take a moment to outline a portion of it for a quick help,  but it would be a good idea to spend some time in these noted chapters. (Chapters 5,6,7,8,9,10, and 11) "And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. For until the law, sin was in the world:  but, sin is not imputed when there is no law."   (Sin was in the world.  Law made it evident) - Romans 5:11,13             When talking about "abiding", the idea of atonement jumps right up, ... and becomes the fore-front issue. Romans ch.5, explains that about the Gospel of Jesus Christ:  that, whether we look at law, or culture, or religion, ... the human has sinned, and this sin began with the first man, Adam. On the other side of this truth, whether we look at law, or culture, or religion: ... we are justified through God's grace, and faith in Christ. (the "expressed Word")   For a little more on this ... one might also look at Paul's letter to the believers at Corinth.  (2 Corinthians 5:16-21) It is terribly hard, (and not in our nature),  but we must be careful not to become preachers of law, culture, or the ideas of concept religion:  ... all the while overlooking the issues (of conscience) that "hinder" atonement. *Let's briefly look at the apostle's comments in  Romans   (get your Bible)                    Romans ch.6           - baptized into Christ's death - newness of life - living unto God - obedience unto righteousness - fruit unto holiness Romans ch.7 - delivered from the law - newness of Spirit vs - oldness of the letter - the place of the law - the law is Spiritual Romans ch.8 - free of condemnation as we ... - walk after the Spirit - not the flesh - mind the things of the Spirit - to be Spiritually minded is  "life and peace" - as many as are led by the Spirit of God ... they are the sons of God - praying  in the Spirit Romans ch.9             We learn to recognize God's "initiating" power and  "call".    (this should effect our evangelism)        we are finished with our "efforts" (carnal)  but open to  His "leading" (guard against peer pressure)                    Romans ch.10 - the word of faith (rhe'ma) which we preach (this is different than explaining Bible verses)   it is the word of the Spirit - the importance of the preacher                                  Romans ch.11 - the "folly" of religion - the model citizen Romans ch.12-16                        Be sensitive, that the work of God might go forward. *It's important that you experience realization of this message;  ... for there is no personal salvation, nor saving ministry, ... apart from it.      (Let's move on and quickly summarize)                                        "But God commends His love toward us;  in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath ... through him.      For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by Spirit life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom (God) we have now received the atonement." - Romans 5:8-11 ____       Now, we see that this "call" unto atonement was initiated by God, and His expressed Word.  (Romans 10:14,15) Our faith is in Him, resurrecting us by the call of His word, ... and the "voice" of His Spirit. Abiding and atonement are as one.  (St. John ch.15) The "abiding" person recognizes the truth of  Isaiah 61:8 - they are non-judgmental - have confidence in the "initiating" action of the Holy Spirit   - joyful  in God  (Isaiah 61:10) - joyful  in "expectation"  (61:11) It's the sparing, and restoring, that is done by the Spiritual presence of God; ... out of which comes the authority, and expression, of His resident Word: exercised by the Spirit, and the "Spiritual Priesthood". Colossians           It would be hard to skip over Paul's letter to the people of the church at Colosse'.  (about 11 miles from Laodicea)    "That you might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom, and Spiritual understanding; That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering, with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us suitable to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son: " - Colossians 1:9-13 In Paul's letter, he encourages the believers to give attention to their Spiritual calling, and to not let religious, or worldly, peer-pressure cost them valuable time. Spiritual awareness, consistency, and an understanding of who they are in Christ's Kingdom, ... are all important factors to be understood by these "Royal Priests". Colossians is a short letter, but will serve as an encouraging   handbook for priestly service. Take your time ... and see what you can learn from it.	Pgs 63 - 75

Chapter nine
	The Ministry Chapter Nine As the Israelites of the historical scriptures were led forth from Egypt by God's servant Moses, we are told that God showed a testimony of His presence with a cloud that accompanied them by day, and a pillar of fire that stayed at night. As the people continued their journey, God spoke to Moses, and told him to build a portable tabernacle that could be erected in the camp ... to show a testimony of His presence amongst the people. The people would now learn to exercise the truths that God would speak to them. They would now take their rightful place in relationship to God;  and He would bless them, and they would be  His people. The tabernacle would be a large tent, with a "fenced in" yard.  The people would come up to the gate with their offerings and sacrifices, and a chosen priest would help them to perform their act of faithful worship. Inside the tabernacle, the priests would carry on other services unto the LORD to honor His word.  This place was called the "Holy Place". There was one more room sectioned off by a huge curtain, or veil; and this room contained a "box"  (called The Ark of the Covenant) which held God's law, and other memorials of God's activity and presence with His people.  This room was the "Holy of Holies".  God's communicating presence  was there.                       "And you shall put the mercy seat above, upon the Ark;  and in the Ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give to you. And there I will meet with you ... and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two Cherubims which are upon the Ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give to you in commandment unto the children of Israel." - Exodus 25:21:22                   The above scripture shows God's intention for the area of the tabernacle that was called the "Holy of Holies", and the "Ark of the Testimony". Because of the simplicity of this scripture, there are two understandings that become evident.   1.  "There, I will communicate with you."   2.  "Commandments ... unto His people." This would speak to us clearly that the tables of stone, or written word, was not the end of what God had in mind to talk about  ... to His people. It would also bring forth the idea that the high priests were a Royal priesthood, taking the "commands" of God  ... to the people. What we see is the essence of atonement.  As we have seen earlier, the intention of  "atonement" is more than just forgiveness of sins.  It is rather, a restoration unto faith, obedience, and stewardship.         The Holy of Holies  (behind the Veil) What was in that special room behind the veil, where the "realized presence" of God hovered continually ? If we were to look down from above the room, we would see a  "memorial" to God's Presence. In Scripture, we are told that this memorial was named the Ark of the Covenant.  (with its contents)  The first thing we see are two special angels with outstretched wings signifying the eternal realm of God, and His heavenly hosts. (the Kingdom of God)  And, as we look at these angels, one's mind can be taken to a realm much beyond our imagination. Underneath these angels was a platform stained with the blood of life, and desolation, signifying that "all life" is God's. This platform was called the "mercy seat", and we are to understand that God's mercy has been Royally extended to us, and sealed with the presence of His angels, and His Spiritual seal.  Now, that in itself may be enough to make our connection, and see that God's Presence dwells with us in mercy, ...  but there is more that deals with our relationship to His presence. Beneath this "seat of covenant" there were three other holy memorials that hold the truths of this "abiding presence", and are especially important to the priests of the Royal priesthood.                          Each of these three items bear witness to a hard learned lesson that the people of Israel experienced in their journey with the presence of God. 1.  The Tables of Law  ("Kingdom" decision) It must be established in our lives that  religion is not a substitute for  God's Presence, and  Word.   Our actions, and worship, are  regulated by Him.  He is God, ...  and  King. (For the story of this conflict read  Exodus ch.19-40) 2.  The pot of "manna"  (the author of supply) This lesson deals with our "cares of this life", and ambition, and we must learn that everything is created out of the eternal realm, ... and be obedient to His "voice". (For the story of this conflict read Exodus ch.16, Numbers ch.11) 3.  Aaron's rod that budded  (the defined call) Now  that we  understand  that  we are not dealing with religion, ... but rather  the expressed Presence of God's eternal Kingdom; the callings, gifts, and  ministries of this  Spiritual intent,   ... are  not  to  be  "messed"  with. There is no room for "competition", ambition, legalism, or any other attempts  at carnal justice,  and  compromise. Ko'rah, and his friends, wanted to play "priest", but this ministry ...  is a "defined" call.    God  anointed  Aaron. (For the story of this conflict read Numbers chs.16,17,18) Note:  These are the  3 areas of test in the record of the temptation of Jesus in the "wilderness", prior to the launching of his ministry. (For the story of this conflict read  St. Matthew ch.4,  St. Luke ch.4) _____ 3 Kinds of People ... 4 Places of Abiding 1. Lost These individuals are "human only".  They are aware of God.  They live out of "human only" tradition, goals, and cares of this world.  This is the transgression of mankind. No matter how you dress this up, "human only" is lost, and wherever they are ... they abide in darkness 2. Outer Fringe These "individuals" ... are respectful of God's existence, and they do things like go to religious gatherings, let their children get involved, and maybe, even give to charity.   They confess their sins to God, and they let the world know ... that they are somehow attached to the people of God.   They abide in the "outer fringe". 3. The "Tabernacle"   (church folk) These "individuals" are involved in "religion of ordinance", creed, and service.  We're not sure of their motives;  we just know that they are there making it happen day after day.  This service doesn't really have to be spiritual, but they call it spiritual, because it seems good.  They abide in "service".  They put their faith in their association with the religious group, and their active involvement, rather than in revelation and communion with the presence of God.  If asked, they are quick to tell you about all the things that they are doing, rather than about what God is "saying".                                                            4. The "Presence"  (Royal Priesthood) Although the history of the tabernacle shows that the high priest only went into the "Holy of Holies" on rare occasions, we see the intention of God to commune with people. When Jesus died upon the cross, it is recorded that the veil in the temple was miraculously torn from top to bottom. (St. Matthew 27:51, St. Mark 15:38,  St. Luke 23:45) The communicating "presence" of God was no more hidden to these people.  God's Spirit would be poured out upon all flesh, and they would prophesy, and see visions.  This Spirit of Truth would abide with His people continuously.  (St. John chs.14 -16, Hebrews ch.10, Acts 1:1-8 & ch.2, 1 Corinthians ch.12) Now, although this truth has been present from before the Garden of Eden, there is a "realization" of this Word that is of necessity. (see also: 1 Peter 1:18-25, St. Matthew 13:35)  This is where the Royal priesthood comes in, and this is the ministry that they have to offer to this world. ____ "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;  that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints is, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe, ... according to the working of His mighty power."    - Ephesians 1:17-19 1 Peter 2:5,9, ch.4:10,11                                                     Our "Walk" in Life      While learning to abide we slip into "old nature" (formed character), time after time.  That's why it's important to fast, meditate, write, exercise, and fellowship in the presence of the Spirit of God, and with other Spiritual ministries. We need to guard against the traditional ideas, and realize that there are even demonic spirits that would like to attach themselves, and cling to the angry, hurt, old nature.  (contentious spirit) We need to stay in a state of repentance, and faith, and put on the new man which is Christ, and the anointing of Isaiah ch. 61.   This is a creative outworking of Spirit. ____   If you are trying to grow as a "person", and the only word of direction and promise you have is a word that was spoken to someone else;  then you are robbing yourself of God's "expression"  through you.   (This is not faith building, and only leads to "unfruitfulness") Two things: Hear, and Do. That's abiding.   (Read   Ephesians ch.2,   .. especially vs. 18-22)	Pgs 76 - 88

Chapter ten
	Being Chapter Ten   The Security of Abiding (and Conscience)         God's Spirit is the Spirit of grace, truth, love, and joy.  He calls us, leads us, and gives us light, and salvation.  When we feel condemned it is because we are rejecting salvation, and are holding up our own majesty. Born out of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is the sensitivity of conscience, and judging.  As a human species we did this to ourselves  ... in spite of God's warning. The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden tells us that when this judging conscience was awakened in them they hid themselves from God's voice. (Genesis ch.3)   Our desire to be our own gods, and to pursue our own intents, causes us to stray from the "voice of the Holy Spirit". The Salvation that God provided for us in Christ puts no demand upon our ability to judge, but rather we judge as we hear from the Spirit of the Father, just like Jesus did;  ... and our personal justification has its foundation in the obedience to the Spirit of God ... which is the "faith that was demonstrated in Christ".  (Galatians 2:16-21, and ch.3) In the Christ life our judging conscience is found to be of no consequence; and our call to walk in the light becomes the issue.  (St. John 5:30) We need to stop judging one another, and find our word of ministry in the rhema (flowing) Word of the Holy Spirit.  (1 Peter 4:11) Our confidence is in the Christ word, and in the renewing of the Holy Ghost.     (Titus ch.3, Ephesians ch.4, Romans ch.8, Acts ch.2)         Romans ch.14,  Hebrews 9:14, 1 John 2:1-2,  Colossians ch.2,3, 1 Peter ch.5	Pgs 89 - 119

Chapter eleven
	Prophecy Chapter Eleven                     "And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, Al-le-lu'ia;  Salvation, and glory, and honor, and  power, unto the LORD our God: For true and righteous are His judgments:  for He has judged the great whore which did corrupt the earth with her fornication,  and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand. And again they said, Al-le-lu'ia.  And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, and the four beasts, fell down and worshiped God that sat on the Throne, saying A-men;   Al-le-lu'ia. And a voice came out of the Throne saying,  Praise our God all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,  and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying,  Al-le-lu'ia:  for the LORD God omnipotent reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. At this point, we are not talking about a Christianity that preaches about "going to heaven", but rather one that is bringing forth the Kingdom of God. This is the Gospel. And he said to me, Write, blessed are they who are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.  And he said unto me, these are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him.  And he said unto me, don't do it:  I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus:  worship God:  for the testimony of Jesus is the  spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse;  and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;  and he had  a name written, that no man knew,  but he himself. And he was clothed in a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called   ... the Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, ... clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he has on his vesture, and on his thigh, a name written,  KING OF KINGS  AND  LORD OF LORDS. As we have seen earlier (Part 7), much of the vision that we see is happening both in the "Spiritual realm", and in the "temporal earthly realm", now.  For out of the Spiritual realm comes forth ... what we see, and what we don't see. We take dominion by the "authority" of His Spirit Word, that issues from His mouth.  (Read:  St. Matthew 4:4, 16:19, 18:18,  Revelation 12:10,11,  Romans 10:8-10,  Ephesians 6:9-18,  2 Corinthians 4:4-7,18)                       And I saw an angel standing in the sun;  and he cried with a loud voice,  saying to the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together ... unto the supper of the great God;   ("marriage supper" of the Lamb  is a supper of "dominion") That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them,  and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.  ("dominion" - St. Matthew 26:26-29) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, ... and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image.  These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse,  which "sword" proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh." - Revelation ch.19         It is interesting to note that this revelation that came to John was meant to be shared with the churches ... "at that time". Revelation chapter one introduces us to the intent of this vision.   Revelation chapter two and three repeatedly states the importance of "hearing what the Spirit has to say to the churches", and speaks to each of these churches ... the overcoming  message.   In Revelation 1:9, John recognizes the conflict, the Kingdom, the enduring patience of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, ... and the  "testimony of Jesus Christ". ___                               Looking through the eyes ... of the traditional Christian church it is almost impossible to understand the need for the Spirit of prophecy.   (the testimony of Jesus, and the brethren)   What it comes down to is a conflict between the tradition of Christianity, and the "testimony of Jesus".  (St. John 5:39,40,  6:63, Revelation 19:10) It doesn't matter how many times a "traditional" religious person reads any of the scriptures that we have pointed out ...  because they only interpret it as "creed", and "knowledge". Their confidence is based upon an academic knowledge of the Christian faith, and their adherence to it.  (until heaven) The Christian that has "the testimony of Jesus" ... believes in a mighty battle  that is "now" raging. The first looks to a "future" Kingdom.  The second sees the battle for, and the function of  the Kingdom  ... now. When Christ was conceived in the earth, it was the "Word" of God   (the Royal command of the Kingdom)  that was brought forth. We are not waiting for the Kingdom of God to happen in the future.   It has been birthed, and it is battling to "overcome". We don't need so much to have confidence in the "sinner's prayer", or a "baptism certificate", or our good "lifestyle",  but rather we need to hear the real Gospel.  (possibly, for the first time) "the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us"  - St. John 1:1-14 "since that time the Kingdom of God is preached" - St. Luke 16:16 "things pertaining to the Kingdom of God"    - Acts 1:3, 8:12, 19:8 "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth"  - St. Matthew 6:6 "When the Kingdom of God  ... should come" - St. Luke 17:20,21 "the  Battle"   ... is happening Now.    - Ephesians 6:9-19 Part Two   There is a light that arises in places of darkness because of the Holy Spirit ministry that is upon His people.  This is the Day of Vengeance of our God,  ... the Day of Salvation. "The Spirit of the LORD is upon me,  ... because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;  He has sent me to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,  to set at liberty them that are bruised.  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." (Jesus)  - St. Luke 4:18,19 (See also: Isaiah ch.61,62,63, St. Matthew 5:1-16, St. John ch.14,15,16, Acts ch.1,2) ____     "And he took the bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you:  this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you" - St. Luke 22:19,20 The Bread The bread represents the body of Christ, which is broken for many.  It is representative of the "many-membered" body of Christ ... that now is.  (1 Corinthians 10:15-17)   This "body", being in Christ, has a variety of Spiritual gifts that are present, and are to minister to others.  (1 Corinthians ch.12)   Just as the Spirit of loving-kindness was present in Christ, even so it now holds the body together in fellowship.  (1 Corinthians ch.13,  Ephesians ch.4) The Cup The cup of wine represents the blood of Christ ... which was shed for many. The "testament" in the blood is God's Spirit Word in the blood.  The ever-present Word. This "Spirit Word" is eternal, and holy, and issues from the place of authority. (the mouth of God)     (Throne of God) It is the "rhema", ... the Spirit of prophecy. The "Words" that Christ spoke ... were prophetic. The "Words" that the Body speaks today are to be Spirit Word (prophetic), not carnal tradition.  (St. John 14:10,26, 1 Corinthians ch.14, 1 Peter 4:8-11) The anointing is on the "Body".  (The dedication, the consecration, the "Christ" anointing) The Spirit of the Body is the Spirit of prophecy: the testimony of the eternal Word of God.                                   Dominion  (and the Day of Vengeance) "They shall run like mighty men;  they shall climb the wall like men of war;      and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:   neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be  wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses;  they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them;  the heavens shall tremble: the sun, and the moon, shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter His voice before His army:  for His camp is very great: for He is strong that executes His Word:  for the day of the LORD is great,  and very terrible.  Who can abide in it ?"                                             - Joel 2:7-11 "O sing unto the LORD a new song;  for He has done marvelous things:  His right hand, and His holy arm,  has gotten Him the victory. The LORD has made known His salvation:  His righteousness, He has openly shown in the sight of the heathen."                                                - Psalms 98:1,2 Carnality, and spiritual wickedness, do not happily give up their positions of authority, and control.  God's justice, however, will rise up and take dominion with the Christ anointing.  (St. Luke 4:14-21, Ephesians chs.1,2,3,4,5,6, Revelation) ____ "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;  that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien, shall be your vine dressers.  But, you shall be named the Priests of the LORD:  men shall call you the ministers of our God:  you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves."                                                  - Isaiah 61:3-6	Pgs 120 - 158

Chapter twelve
	Doing Chapter Twelve   (What is your framework of thought ?   Is it prophecy ?) When you talk more about "what you believe", than what you are experiencing with God, then you are likely leaning more towards religion, than abiding in relationship. Be careful that "what you are doing" ... is what God is doing.  Because what God is doing is a life force, ... miracles are perpetual.  (they flow like growth) Miracles are also symmetrical: they know exactly how much.  They have intelligent design. They are born out of God's word.  That's why it's so important for us to learn to relate to His intelligence.  Jesus spoke of this intelligence,  ... "If you abide in me, and  my words  abide in you,  you shall ask what you will,  and  it shall be done unto you"                                                 - St. John 15:7 ____ God's creations are perpetual, and blessed.  He spoke to the first man,   ... "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:  and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."                                                  - Genesis 1:28                                          Then, He spoke to the redeemed man, as Jesus spoke unto them the "teachings of the Spirit".   (comp. with Proverbs 8:14-36) "I am the vine, you are the branches,  he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit;  for without me you can do nothing.  (abide in this "intelligence"  -  St. John 14:11-26) Henceforth, I call you not servants;  for the servant knows not what his master does:  but, I have called you friends;  for all things that I have heard of my Father,  ...  I have made known  unto you.   (St. John ch.5, 1 Corinthians ch.2, Romans ch.8) You have not chosen me,  but I have chosen you, and ordained you,  that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:  that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name,  He may give it to you."                                         - St. John 15:5,15,16 "Now, you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you"  (put in right relationship, corrected, purged)                                                   - St. John 15:3                  Fruitful Lives  (the mystery) Even we, are perpetually blessed, and are being created to suit a perfect destiny.  We have an intelligent design being worked in us ... as we abide in the outworking of the Spirit.  (that's the miracle of "new birth" - Ephesians chs.1,2)     We start out in the natural, but we grow Spiritually. Our Spiritual maturity will not go to waste after our natural death.  (nor, will our fruit) "It is sown a natural body;  it is raised a spiritual body.   There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.   So, it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul;  and the last Adam was made a  life-giving spirit.  The natural first,  and after that the spiritual. (We are already ministers of "life", as we minister out of "Spirit word" - St. John chs.5,6,14,  Colossians 1:25-29)  The first mankind is of the earth, earthy:  the second mankind is of heaven. Note:  "Lord" was added into the KJV in this scripture, but the next verse does not lean in that direction As is the earthy, such are they that are earthy:  and as is the heavenly,  such are they also that are heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God;  (we would be far too limited) neither does corruption inherit incorruption  (that which does not rot). Behold, I show you a mystery.   We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment,  in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:  for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible (perishable)  must put on incorruption,  and this mortal must put on  immortality. Therefore, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD." - 1 Corinthians 15:44-58 (part) Miracles are perpetual.  They are "living".  They move like accelerated growth. When Jesus fed the multitude with a basket full of food, it could have continued to expand, to fill the whole earth;  but Divine intelligence ... knew "how much".  (St. Mark ch.8)                                                 When Jesus ministered to the blind man, it was a progressive miracle of creation.  (St. Mark ch.8) We are so self-protective from our bad experiences, that often times we are closed to the effects of the Holy Spirit. When we pray for our family, or friends, we don't allow trends to change in our situation.   We need a "word of obedience". ____ "And the apostles said unto Jesus,  ...  Increase our faith"    (St. Luke 17:5) Isn't it strange ?  If they had asked, "Increase our faith-full-ness", we would know exactly what they were asking.  But, we think somehow, that they were asking for a magic power ... so that they could perform miracles. When this scripture was translated, "faith" was put in the place of the original Greek word "pistis", which means conviction, credence,  believability, reliance upon.  Faith is not a magic power: it relies upon something.  It relies upon the Divine intelligence of God.   It is our obedience to the Spirit Word. It is our abiding in God's intention.   (Romans 5:19, ch.10:17, Hebrews ch.5)    It's like the little mustard seed, as it persistently grows up ... even to the uprooting of those things that would block its way.  (St. Luke 17:6) Just prior to the apostles asking for "increased faith" Jesus was talking to them about self-indulgent people,  (St. Luke ch.16), and those that would cause them to waiver through their temptation (offense, St. Luke 17:1-4):  now, they were asking,  Lord increase our faith  (our obedience, and dedication) The answer is, "Just do it".  Be obedient to Divine Spirit Word.                                                      Jesus went on to explain that a servant knows his place, and does his duty.  (ch.17:7-10) ____ As they went on their way to Jerusalem, they encountered ten lepers, and Jesus had a Spirit Word  (St. John 14:10)  for them to obey; and because of their faith (fullness)  they were healed. (ch.17:11-19) Even so, as we live and walk in this obedience, (the same as Jesus did),  we experience miracles, salvation, and justification.  (Galatians 2:16-21, ch.3:1-29)	Pgs 159 - 193
