The Presentation

Understanding the Background (how it started)

Within the period of several months God was bringing forth two babies ...that were to fulfill the Spirit Word which had been prophesied years before.

We would be introduced to John (the Baptist), and Jesus (the Christ).

Each was to play an important role in the introduction of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

John's message was the "call to preparation", repentance, and cleansing. (water baptism)      (Luke 1:16,17,76-80,  Matthew 3:1-6,8, Mark 1:2-4,  and  John 1:15-36, ch.3:22-36)

Jesus' message was the "reconciliation" of people to God. He would baptize them with God's Spirit, and they would walk in fellowship with God.  (known later as  the Promise of the Father, the abiding presence of  His Spirit  - St. John chs.14,15,16)     (Luke 1:32,33, and ch.2:32-35, ch.3:16,17, ch.4:18-21,  Mark 1:8,  Matthew 1:21, ch.3:11,12,  and ch.4:17,  and  St. John 1:1-18, ch.3:1-23)

This background won't change.  This is the fulfillment of the old prophecies, as they are recorded in the writings.

Understanding
  (the message)

Why was Jesus ... baptized by John the Baptist ?   What was he doing ?   Washing away sin ?    (St. Matthew 3:6)     Cleansing ?

What was John's message ?   Repentance ?   Why was Jesus there ?    What happened to him when he was baptized ?   (St. Matthew 3:16,17)

If we were to read Peter's answer to the crowd on the Day of Pentecost, when asked  "what must we do?",  we would see a similar picture.   (look at the similarity)

Jesus, when he was baptized  ...

"Then came Jesus unto John, to be baptized of him.

Jesus, answering him said, it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:  and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

- St. Matthew 3:13-17

Peter, when asked the question,   "Men, and brethren,  What shall we do ?"

"Peter said unto them,  Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of  the Holy Ghost."

- Acts 2:38

What we see is a systematic two-fold message.

We see the requirement on behalf of the individual;  and the blessing on behalf of God.   (let me give you another two examples)

____

Again, Peter preaching to the Gentiles at the house of Cornelius, when the gift of the Holy Ghost was suddenly poured out upon them  ...

"Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we ?  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord."

- Acts 10:44-47

And, Paul,  as he was traveling, came across some folks who had been baptized in water;  but not yet of the Holy Ghost. They knew the repentance part;  but they didn't know about the  "promise of the Holy Ghost".

"And when Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them;  ... and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied."

- Acts 19:3-6

____

As we see in the gospel of John  (St. John 3:3,5,6),  the ministry of John (the Baptist) was born of the Holy Ghost.  And the ministry of Jesus (the Christ)   was born of the Holy Ghost.

Your ministry, as you come prepared for your priesthood, must be born of the Holy Ghost.  (Ephesians ch.4)

"The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,  ...  even as many as the Lord our God shall call"

- Acts 2:39

(Study: St. Matthew 3:1-3,6,14,15,17; St. Luke 24:47-49;  St. John 3:22 and ch.4:1,2)

This army that we are going to talk about is representative of a Spiritual Kingdom,  ... that is eternal.   When we lose touch with the Christ ministry  of  "reconciliation to the Spirit of God"   we defeat  one part of the gospel that we just spoke of.

Continuously, in Revelation chapters two and three, we are told to "hear what the Spirit would say to the church".  This is the authority, and direction, of the army.

And, just as important, if we lose the readiness, which is the preparation part of John's ministry, we will not be able to function as a soldier in this army.  (see: the story  of the Sower  and  the Spirit Word  -  St. Luke 8:4-18)

We prepare ... so that we might hear.  And, when we hear, we are encouraged in the strength of the Almighty, and Spiritual protection     ...  envelopes us.

We are a warring people, freeing people from their darkness, and deception.  This is the salvation that has come to the earth through the Gospel of Light.

People must experience the ministry of John (the Baptist), and the ministry of Jesus (the Christ).

The armor that we will deal with in this book is Spiritual.   Money can't buy it; and you can't borrow it.   This armor is birthed out of these two parts of the gospel of the Kingdom of God.  (Ephesians 6:10-20)   It  is ... for you.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God ... to the pulling down of strongholds;

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  and having  in readiness  to revenge all disobedience,  ...  when your obedience is fulfilled."

- 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Some of us have tried to be  "good soldiers", but we have forgotten one part ... of this "two part" gospel.

We may have become "converted" to a way of thinking  ... without becoming reconciled to the Spirit of God.  Or, we may have had a Spiritual experience ... without understanding the preparation part of the gospel.

Even sadder still, is when people have been told that they have experienced one of these "parts",  ... and they haven't.

(We will learn that  it's our own individual faith that we rely upon,  ...  not someone else's comment)

Open yourself to the Spirit of the LORD, and what He would say. (just "be")   The Spirit of truth will surround you.  (and you will bear fruit)

Prophesy.   Be led.   Let your faith be the fertile soil. (not your faith alone;  but aware of others, too.  He is Lord)      Born again by His Spirit.

If we experience no preparation, questioning, or cleansing time; then our lives have not stopped to be dealt with, and changed, by the Spirit of the Lord.  (see: Acts 1:4,5)

Some folks stop, turn to God, and follow changes given to them from reading, or from someone else's advice.  They have no experience with the Holy Spirit. (read: Acts 1:8)

The true Christ ministry ... is the ministry that "reconciles" the individual to the Spirit of God.     * (read:  Romans ch.8)

"if any man have not the Spirit of Christ,  he is none of his"

Two Different Churches

(two different armies)

In this section, we want to guard against the temptation to be critical.  Sometimes, when we see things in a new light we become very judgmental towards others.  I believe that God's Spirit has worked, and is working in many places that we may not recognize.  But, I do also feel that what I am sharing with you is what I am supposed to,  ... so here goes.

There is a difference between the Roman based church (incl. Protestant), and the real church.  They are built upon two different foundations, conduct themselves differently, and how they believe they achieve salvation is different.  Their message is different, and their fruit is different. Let me explain. (this is important)

Roman Based

(4th Century, political)

1.  Doctrine of Substitution  (the dying Savior on the cross, died in your place for your sins.   Most of these scriptures have been taken out of context.    Read the whole thought in its setting)

2.  The Bible is the "guide"  (Word of God)  for our daily life.  From this we have "Bible based" churches. (legalism  - this is what the Jewish priests  were  using against  ... Jesus)

3.  Missionary work,  ... resulting in "converts".   (the emphasis for new converts is Bible Study, as they must know the Word of God)   Most of the teachers don't know how to lead someone to a reconciliation with the Spirit of God, (nor do they know Him, themselves.  They do what they know to do.  - 2 Corinthians 5:16-19)

the Real Church

(watch this)

1.  Doctrine of Identification.  (unless we place ourselves into this state of obedience, we don't understand  "repentance")    We identify with Christ. (the Spirit anointing)   We are the ongoing body of Christ, and joint-heirs with him.  We are baptized into this "Word", and anointing.   (St. Mark 8:34-38,  ch.10:17-21,   and   Romans chs.6, and 8)

2.  The "Promise of the Holy Ghost".  (the Holy Spirit is the "guide", the Word of God) for our daily life.  From this, we have  (Spirit) "ministry based" churches.  (Spiritual grace.  See all of Ephesians esp. 2:18-22, ch.4;  Galatians;  1 Corinthians chs.2,12,14;  Romans chs.8,12;  1 Peter ch.4,  St. John chs.14,15,16)

3.  Missionary work, resulting in "sons".   (The emphasis for "sons" ... is that they are led by the Holy Spirit, for the promise is unto them. Romans ch.8;  Acts 2:38-40; and 2:18;   St. John chs.1,3,14,15,16;  Revelation chs.2 and 3)

These are two very different armies, with two very different commanders, and two very different goals.

When we "realize" this difference, it will change everything.

1. Our  message  (of salvation)

2. Our  commitment  (to the Spirit of God)

3. Our  fellowship  (meetings)

4. Our  approach to missionary work

Salvation Starts Here !

Born Again
  (of the Spirit)

Remission of sinful ways, (cleansing), is buried within these references to our sacrificial preparation, and dedicated walk with the Spirit of the Father.   (St. John chs.1 and 3;  and  Romans chs.6 and 8.   It's almost imperative  ... to look these scriptures up)

Water doesn't cleanse us from sin.

Someone else's blood doesn't cleanse us from sin.

When the Word became flesh, and dwelt amongst us, and walked as the "Word" manifested in the flesh, this was God's expression of the Christ gospel ... to mankind.

Everything that we experience in the Christ gospel, we have because of our entering into ... this "Word" experience.

"If we walk in the light,  as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,  ... and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin". (sinful ways)

- 1 John ch.1

When we repent, and place ourselves into this "Word", and fellowship with the Spirit of the Father, "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness", (our ways), and grant unto us His fellowship of Light.

In Hebrews (chs.9,10,11), we see a good discussion of this, as attention is given to Jesus, who  "by the Spirit" (9:14)  offered himself to God; to become our High priest, and "first born" among many brethren.  (see: Romans 8:29)

Are we denying the blood of Jesus, and the power to save ?  No.  We are actually looking into the truth of it. (Romans 3:25, 1 John 2:2,6,  ch.4:10,13,  ch.5:11)

We know that Christ's ministry was open to the whole world.  And yet, we also know that it is sadly stated, that the "whole world" will not enter into ... this salvation.

"Except a man be "born again", he cannot see the Kingdom of God."

- St. John 3:3

Just as Jesus presented his very being "by the Spirit" unto God (Hebrews 9:14); even so, we must come to this place of repentance, and faith, in our lives; and be "born again" by  the Spirit of God.  This birth is a Spiritual birth, where we become alive, and aware of this realm.

"If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship"

- 1 John 1:7

(More help:  St. John 3:1-8; ch.4:23,24;  Acts 1:8; 2:38-40; 2:16-18;  1 Corinthians ch.2;  Romans ch.8;  St. John 6:63)

____

As we look into the Spirit World, we see all kinds, and colors, of different spirits. Some look like a "flame of fire";   others are  "light and knowledgeable".  Some are "quick".  Some are "tiny".    Others are "boisterous".

There are constant attempts at merging, and effecting one another with their own characters.   They want to inhabit, together.

Because of the merging into a clump, eventually, a body results.  And those that come into contact with the body, don't necessarily see the singular spirit at first glance.  Spirits that join this body, either effect it for good, or for bad.

In this present world, the same thing goes on.

We need to see Spiritually, ... for we come across the same variety of spirits, here.  And, if we merge, (if we are of the mind to do so)  we are effected:  and we effect others that we merge with.

The Body of Christ

As we merge into the Body of Christ, we should go through a cleansing, and a preparing time.  This is a time of unloading, and opening ourselves, to the Spirit of God.  (a time  of "conscious awakening",  and  obedient  changing)

We should know that we will effect the Body; and that now, this Spiritual Body will effect us.

The emphasis of love, truth, and merging, should be understood as necessity.  If we bring the sickness of sin into the body, it effects others.

The message that comes "out" from the Spirit Word unites us, and controls the body.  We have lost our own identity, and have become a part of Christ.

And still, as we move in this life, others will come across our way, wanting to merge, and be a part of the light. These are not converts: they are "born again" by the Spirit of God.  As they lose their life,   ... they shall find it.

To be a part of this Body of Christ ... is the invitation of the gospel.

Sadly, it is possible for converts, and people who believe, ... to remain outside of the Body of Christ.  One must be "born again" of the Spirit: for what we are looking at ... is Spiritual.

Each one of us is called to be "effectual", and working,  ...  "unto the edifying of the Body ... in love".      (See: Ephesians ch.4)

Ministry  (effective)

Ministries only become evident ... when they are placed amongst people.

Your true significance in the "Body of Christ", is only realized through "Spiritual" fellowship  ... in Christ.

The things that Jesus did, ... were by the Spirit of God.

The things that we do, that are important, ... we do by the Spirit of God.

The "Word becoming flesh" (St. John ch.1), is not just a message, but an event that changes things by the power of God.

God's Word creates.  The Word heals.  The Word saves. The Word delivers.  The Word destroys the works of evil.

You can never kill the Word. That's why the cross could not stop the church from going forward.  Our source is not an earthly teacher of legends,   but rather the Spirit of God.

The Word is eternal.  Our transformation by it is eternal.  It is the "outworking" of this Spirit Word  ... that manifests our salvation into fruitfulness.  (Read:  the story of the Sower - St. Luke 8:5-18;  and also, the "Word"  - 1 Peter ch.1)

Our salvation is manifested as light as the human being lives out the attributes of this Spirit Word.      This is our faith.

The "faith element" is the fertile soil from which the Word is fulfilled.  (Hebrews ch.11 and  Ephesians 2:6-8,10,22)

When you are at the store, or at your place of work,  ... can you see what kind of "spirit" that person is ... that you are looking at ?

Does the Holy Spirit have a "word" for that person ?   (read the story about the "Woman at the well" - St. John 4:1-38   This is the ministry that we are talking about:   it just flows throughout the day)

When you are praying for someone, can you see what kind of a "spirit" you are dealing with?   Does the Holy Spirit have a word for that person ?

When you are at a fellowship meeting ?   Can you see ?   Are you aware ?

Will the Holy Spirit give you something to do ?   This is how the  merging of spirits happens.  This is how spirits are affected by the Spirit of God.    (St. John ch.15)

You have to remember that the Christ ministry is the channel through which the Father is reconciling people unto Himself.

"No man can come to me (the Christ)  except the Father which has sent me  ... draw him"   (the Spirit of God)

-  St. John 6:44

We are not looking for converts, ... but rather a restoration unto ... the Spirit of the Father.

Just as an earthly father's accomplishments bring value to a family; even so our "relationships" give us a sense of value.    Do you bring value to other people's lives ?

Our relationship with the Spirit of God is the most important relationship that anyone can possibly be "involved" in.  Can you enjoy the blessings ... that come your way ?

the apostle Paul wrote  ...

"For the love of Christ constrains us;  because  we thus judge,  that if one died for all,  then, all were dead.

And that he died for all, that they which live, should not  (from now on)  live unto themselves,  but unto him which died for them, and rose  again.

Now, henceforth we know no man after the flesh:  though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth we know him no more.  (like that)

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away;  behold all things are become new.

All things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  as God was in Christ  reconciling the world unto Himself,  not imputing  their trespasses  unto them;  and has committed unto us the "word" of reconciliation.

____

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did call you by us:  we pray you in Christ's stead, ...  be reconciled to God.

We then, as workers together with him,  beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.  (For He says, I have heard you in a  time accepted,  and  in the day of salvation, I have helped you:   behold,  now  is the accepted time;   behold, now is the day of salvation)

Giving no offence ... in anything, that the ministry be blamed:  but, in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience,  in afflictions,  in necessities,  in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments,  in tumults, in labors, in watchings,  in fastings;

By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the "Word of truth", by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness  (on the right hand, and on the left), by honor, and dishonor, by evil report, and good report: as deceivers,  and yet, true;  as unknown,  and yet, well known;  as dying, and behold, we live;  as chastened,  and not killed;  as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing;  as poor, yet making many rich;  as having nothing, and yet, possessing all things.

Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:  for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness ?  And what communion has  "light" with darkness ?

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols ?   For you are the temple of the living God;  as God has said,  I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be  My people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;  and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, ... says the Lord Almighty.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh, and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

- 2 Corinthians 5:14 - 7:1

____

Salvation

(coming to the "light")

The Christ ministry is a ministry of reconciliation to the Spirit of the Father.  God is a Spirit.  They that worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit, and in truth.  (read: St. John 4:23-42)   God is "light", and in Him is ... no darkness at all.  (read: 1 John 1:5)

The gospel has been presented as an event that deals only with "sin", and the forgiveness of sin; but the power of salvation lies in the "reconciliation", and the "light".  Our faith is in the Spirit, and the Word of the Spirit, for that is the whole essence ... of the Christ ministry.  (Romans ch.10;  St. John ch.1)

John the Baptist's ministry was one of "preparation", cleansing, and confessing of sin.    (St. Mark 1:5;  St. Luke 3:3)

Christ's ministry was one of "reconciliation" to the Spirit of God, and the "Word" of the Spirit. (St. John ch.1,  Revelation 19:10-21)

In Christ, we march in the army of the "Spirit Word"; the army of "light".  This salvation is not just a belief:  it's an event.  (Revelation ch.19)

Questions

Are we preaching  "grace", or "vengeance" through blood ?    (St. John 1:15-18;  2 Corinthians 5:19)

Covenant of Spirit Word,  ... or "Sacrifice" ?  (Hebrews ch.8; Acts 2:14-40; 1 Peter chs.1,2,4)

____

"Jesus said, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

Except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.

....

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (What was his "Word" message?)

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him  ... might be saved.

Here it is !

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,  ...  because their deeds were evil.

For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds ... should be reproved.

But, he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,  ... that they are wrought in God."

- St. John ch.3 (part)

____

Jesus prayed ...

"And this is life eternal, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

I have glorified You on the earth:  I have finished the work which You gave me to do.

And now Father, glorify me with your own self, with the glory which I had with You ... before the world was.

I have manifested Your name unto the men  ... which You gave me out of this world:  Yours they were, and You gave them to me;  and  they have ... kept Your Word.

Now, they have known that all things whatsoever You have given to me, ... are of You.

For I have given unto them the "words" which You gave me; and they have received  them, and have known surely that I came out from You, and they have believed that You did send me."

- St. John 17:3-8

As we can see from the prayer that Jesus prayed  (St. John ch.17), our idea of fruit, follow up, and fellowship,  takes on a new meaning.

The people that Jesus was in fellowship with, were there because the Spirit of God was at work.  He was in fellowship with them, ... because the Spirit of the Father specifically led that fellowship into "being".  He gave those men to Jesus. (vs.6)

The power of sonship, and "adoption", is found within the Spirit of God. (read: Romans 8:14,15)   The "born again" experience ... is found with the Spirit of God.

The soldier that's in this army has a different commander, and recognizes the leading ... of the Spirit of God.  His, or her, agenda is current, and in harmony with the Spirit of the Father.     (St. John 14:10)

These people are ever conscious of the "voice" of the Spirit of God, as they walk through this "time span" of their lives.

This is the army that is careful of "distraction", and stays in a state of readiness, and Spiritual growth:  not hiding from the voice of the Spirit.

____

There's an interesting verse in Scripture that describes God's relationship to the human.

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God  walking  in the garden in the cool of the day:  and Adam and his wife hid themselves from  the presence of the LORD God  amongst the trees of  the Garden."

- Genesis 3:8

It's our relationship to this Spirit voice, that is "walking", that mobilizes the army of God.

This is the call ... unto repentance, and Christ's salvation, in "our day".  (present tense)

The Living

There are many references to the term "walking", throughout the various scriptures.

In our Bible, we see it translated from the Spiritual walk, and from the carnal.  We even see reference to Satan walking to and fro in the earth.  (Job 1:7, ch.2:2)

The call of the LORD, ... is to come "walking with Him".   There are things to do, ... and places to go.  When we speak of the army of the LORD, we speak of His great intentions in His Kingdom.   How can we sit idly by, hiding amongst the trees,  ... while His voice is calling ?  How can we be satisfied with the meaningless religion of mankind, and ignore the Holy Spirit ?

"And they heard the "voice" of the LORD God walking in the cool of the day".    (translated from the Hebrew term ru'wach, which is "breath", or wind, of the day)

Can you relate to what Jesus was saying, when he said,  ...

"If any man serve me, let him follow me;  and where I am,  there shall also my servant be ..."

- St. John 12:26

or, when he said,

"Marvel not that I said unto you,  ... you must be born again.

The wind blows (breathes) where it wills, and you hear the sound thereof, and cannot tell where it comes, and where it goes:  so is everyone ... that is born of the Spirit."

- St. John 3:7,8

"My sheep  hear  My voice,   ...  and  follow me"

- St. John 10:27

Now, speaking  to  "church people"    ...  (listen ... )

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

To him that overcomes, I will grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,  and am set down with my Father ... in his throne.

He that has an ear, let him hear  what the Spirit says unto the churches."

- Revelation 3:20-23

Living

We are called unto life, and relationship, not just learning, and restraint.

There is an exciting relationship to be had with the Holy Spirit, that has nothing to do with man's opinion, people, religion, or preachers: and we are born again by this Spirit.  It is He that will tutor our individual life.  If we don't abide in Him, we can't do anything  ...  in the Kingdom of God.

That's right, apart from Him we can't even minister to the Body of Christ.  (Romans ch.12, 1 Peter 4:10,11)

The priest that Jesus tried to explain this to was busy doing his religion, but he had no relationship with the eternal Spirit of Life;  nor with the Word of the Father.  (St. John ch.3)

I want to show you why hearing the Spirit Word   ...  is so important

The  "Word" of the Spirit of God

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.  The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by Him;  and without Him ... was not anything made  that was made."

- St. John 1:1-3

(comp: Proverbs ch.8)

Most times, preachers have been so excited to tell people that this is talking about Jesus, that they have lost the "life" of this message for the believer.  (it would probably help to look up Proverbs ch.8)

It was this Word  ... that made Jesus to us  ... who he was.

It is this Word  ... that will give you power to become a son of God.  (Romans 8:14-17,  1 Peter 1:22-25)

It is this Word  ... that will make you ... to the rest of the world who you are to be in God's plan.  (read: St. John 14:12,16,17)

He is the strength, and wisdom, ... of creation power.

"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world  ...  knew Him not"

- St. John 1:10

The "Word
"

"He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But, as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, ... to them that believe on His name.   (He is the "Word" of the Kingdom   - Revelation 19:10,13)

....

Which were "born", not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor  of the will of man, ...  but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace, and truth."

- St. John 1:11-14

The "Word" being manifested in the flesh, ... is the Christ.   (the salvation of mankind)

It's not of preachers, for John the Baptist was a preacher.  It's not of religious activity, for that's been going on all the time.

"And he  (John the Baptist) confessed,  and denied not;   but confessed,  ...  I am not  the Christ.

This is he of whom I said, After me comes a man who is preferred before me:   for he was before me.

And I knew him not:  but that he should be made manifest to Israel.   Therefore am I come ... baptizing with water.

And John bare record saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.    And I knew him not:  but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizes ...  with the Holy Ghost"

- St. John 1:20,30-33

There is a "specific" ministry associated with John the Baptist; that of preaching repentance, confession of sins, baptizing with water, and preparing the way ... to introduce Christ.

There is a "specific" ministry associated with Christ: that of reconciling individuals to the Spirit of God.   If you have not come into relationship with the "Spirit Word" of God, then you have missed ... the Christ ministry, for he came to baptize with the Holy Ghost. (see also:  St. John 14:10,17,26)   He was the first-born of many brethren.  (and  sisters)

In this ministry of the expressed "Word", we are sons, and joint-heirs ... with Christ.  (see: Romans ch.8,  Acts 2:18)

Listen to what Jesus said ...

"I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do:  for whatever He does, this also is what the Son does.

For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that He does: and He will show him greater works than these that you may marvel.

For as the Father raises up the dead, and makes them live;  even so, the Son  gives life to whom he will.  For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment unto the Son:  that all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father.  He that honors not the Son, honors not the Father ... Who has sent him(comp: 1 Corinthians ch.2)

I say unto you, he that hears my "word", and believes on Him that sent me,  has everlasting life, and  shall not come into condemnation;  but is passed from death ... unto life.

(but)   ...

How can you believe, when you receive your honor from one another, and seek not the honor ... that comes from God, alone."

- St. John 5:19-24,44

This "Word" (St. John 1), is not translated from the Greek term, "rhema", which is "uttered word" (message);  but rather, from the term, "Logos",  which is the noun expression, that encompasses "all" expression.

It's about all our works, our character, our message, and our "being". (born again)   We are the "light".

From this "Word", proceeds the power of God, the Zoe' life; ... the "light", and realization, that we walk in.  (1 John ch.1)

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me ?

The "words" that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself:  but the Father that dwells in me, He does the works.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me:  or else, believe me for the very works' sake.

I say unto you, he that believes on me, the works that I do, he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do;  because  ... I go unto the Father.

And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter (guide), that He may abide with you forever.

Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him:  but you know Him, for He dwells with you,  ... and shall be in you.

- St. John 14:10-12,16,17

"If you abide in me, and my "words" abide in you, you shall ask what you will, ... and it shall be done unto you.

These things I have spoken unto you, that your joy might be full."

- St. John 15:7,11

"Now, when He the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth:  for He shall not speak of Himself;  but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:  and He will show you things to come.

And in that day you shall ask me nothing.  I say unto you, whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you.

At that day you shall ask in my name:  and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:  for the Father, Himself, loves you, because you have loved me, and believed that I came out from God.   I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world:  again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."

- St. John 16:13,23,26-28

The Ministry of the "Spirit
"

"I can of my own self do nothing:  as I hear, I judge:  and my judgment is just;  because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me."

- St. John 5:30

"Then said they unto him, What must we do, that we might work the works  ... of God ?"

 - St. John 6:28

"And he said, that is why I said unto you that no man can come  (even) unto me, except it were given to him of my Father.

It is the Spirit that quickens;  the flesh profits nothing:  the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life."

- St. John 6:65,63

"Jesus, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which he says,  ... you have heard of me.

For John truly baptized with water;  but, you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost ... not many days from now.

And you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and you shall be witnesses unto me unto the uttermost part of the earth"

- Acts 1:4,5,8

"This is that ... which was spoken by the prophet, Joel;

It shall come to pass in the last days, (says God),  I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons, and your daughters, shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream ... dreams:

And on My servants, and on My handmaidens, I will pour out in those days of My Spirit;  and they shall prophesy"

- Acts 2:16-18

We are Called to "Overcome"

"And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I will make all things new.  And He said unto me, Write:   for these "words" are true and faithful.

And He said unto me, It is done.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life ... freely.

He that "overcomes" shall inherit all things;  and I will be his God, and he shall be My  son."

- Revelation 21:5-8

The "Word of God
"

(is not a Book)

"For the testimony of Jesus ... is the Spirit of prophecy.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse;  and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,  and in righteousness he does judge, and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire;  on his head were many crowns;  and he had  a name written, that no man knew,  but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called, The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, ... white and clean.

And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword;  that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treads the winepress  of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he has on his vesture, and on his thigh, a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image.  These both were cast alive into a lake of fire ... burning with brimstone.

And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse;  which sword proceeded out of his mouth."

- Revelation 19:10-16,19-21

Chapter three

MinistrySm3.jpg

The Citizen

The term "citizen" grew out of the thought of "being of the same city".  Now, we have taken it to the extent of "being of the same country".

In both cases, ... a "citizen" lives in accordance with the wishes of the "ruler", and most times has a lifestyle that is unique to the culture of their citizenship.

"For through Christ, we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore, you are no more strangers, and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ, himself, being the chief cornerstone;   * (we are  "ministry"  based ... through  the "Spirit")

In whom all the building, fitly framed together, grows unto a holy temple in the Lord:  in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God ... through the Spirit."

- Ephesians 2:18-22

____

The Culture

For a quick summary of what this "culture" looks like ... read the apostle Paul's two letters to Timothy.  (no legalism -  take it slow, these are only  ministerial letters ... in a  specific  setting)

In our era, we have a "bunch" of people running around, trying to make Jesus into a "folk hero";  when God's intention is that the Power of Word ... would be experienced in this earth.

Someone says that the Bible says that we are to go into all the world and preach the gospel.  (that's the problem  with  "legalism";  it's  powerless.   It's from ... a Book)

He didn't tell "you" to go any place.  He told his disciples to go: and when he did, he also told them to "wait for the promise of the Father" ... before they went.  (Acts 1:4)

The problem with many of us is ... that we try to go out and "do" the work of God when He hasn't sent us.

Even when the disciples of Jesus had been with him for three years, he told them to tarry in the city of Jerusalem until they were "endued with the power of the Spirit of God"; and then, they would be "witnesses unto Christ".   And, when they did, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they walked in a new power, and authority.  (not  legalism  ... quoting from a Book)

When they preached the gospel, they preached  ...  (like this)

"Repent, and be baptized,  ...  and the Promise  is unto you"

"This is that that was spoke of  ...   by  the prophet,   Joel  ..."

- Acts ch.2

We need to understand that we're not running downtown to do a little ministering for Jesus, ... because our group will be there.

We need to stop, and be "born again".  We need to tarry, until we are endued with Spiritual power from on high:  and then, He will speak to us, and lead us where He wants us to "be".

(eg:  Jesus - St. Luke ch.4,   Peter - Acts ch.10,   Paul and Barnabas - Acts ch.13)

Rejoice in Your Citizenship

Now, our first consideration is our citizenship in the Kingdom of God.

We need to understand, that without a relationship with God's Spirit, we are none of His.  (Romans ch.8, St. John 3:1-8)   It's not what we "do" for God that makes us righteous with Him,   but rather, our repentant obedience  ... to His Spirit Word.

In the first account that we have of Jesus sending forth his disciples into ministry  (St. Matthew ch.10), he gave them the power of the Holy Spirit to be Christ ministers.  He said, "I send you forth, as sheep amongst wolves".  All may not go well.  (or, so you think)

But, listen to this ...

"It is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you(vs.20)

Do you remember  ... when Jesus said ?   (St. John 14:10)

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me ?  The words ... that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself:  but the Father that dwells in me, He does the works."

It is this Father/Son relationship that God is calling people into. It's the gospel of the Kingdom of God that is being presented.  (St. Luke 10:9,16)

"And the seventy returned again with joy, saying Lord, even the devils are subject unto us  ... through your name.

And he said unto them, Rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you;  but rather,  rejoice because your names are written in heaven".  (citizenship)

- St. Luke 10:17-24

You can have an independent spirit, and rejoice in the power you have, or the works that you have done:  but, to be "born again", ... is to be born into a new Kingdom. (citizenship)

Rejoice, that your names are written in heaven.  Let the Word of the King, ... be your word.  Receive the Word of the Father as your own.  Walk in the "light", as He is in the light.  (1 John ch.1)

____

Rejoice

(the secret)

The practice of "gladness" ... is the practice of "harmony".

"Then, they that gladly received his word were baptized:  and they continued steadfastly in the apostles' teachings, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  And fear came upon every soul:  and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

And all that believed were together, and had all things in common;  and they continued daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house  did eat their meat with gladness, and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the church, daily, ... such as should be saved."

- Acts 2:41-47

"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, ... and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Al-lelu'ia:  for the Lord God omnipotent reigns.

Let us be glad, and rejoice, and give honor to Him:  for the marriage of the Lamb is come, ... and his wife has made herself ready."

- Revelation 19:6,7

____

The God of Perception  (Specific Knowledge)

Knowledge brings unity.  We value the knowledge of the Father as the dawn.

Ignorance, is like being asleep.  Oblivion, is the state of the sinner.   (lost)

God is the God of perception.  (how we see things)   He not only helps  us to discover things;  but He helps us to see them the way He wants us to understand them. This is how we grow, and mature, in His revelation. (His Word)

The amazing thing is, that He will also work in other people's lives on our behalf, with this same "perception adjustment", in order to bring blessing, and authority, our way.  He is the God of perception. Some people He blinds; and some, He opens ...their eyes.

It is always important to rely upon His "perceptions", as we walk in harmony with His Spirit.  (Why would anyone not want this ?)   He comforts, reassures, gives advice, and performs His destiny in our lives.  He is the source of ultimate truth, and love.

As we walk according to His leading, He will command the powers of perception according to ... His intent.

During the time of the Exodus, as Moses led the Israelites in the wilderness, they were bitten by serpents, and lay dying.

God told Moses to lift up (on a pole) a dead serpent for all to see; and as they looked, God spoke to them through their perception, ... and they were "healed". (Numbers ch.21)

If we would see those powers that come against us the way God sees them, ... we would prevail.

But, if we never stop to see the way He sees, we walk in ignorance.  (darkness)

The bondages of sin, the obstacles, and the oppressions, are broken in this way:  for it is the truth that will direct us to liberty.

As God's power is present with His Word; even so, our faith brings us to agreement ... with His Word.   (Spirit Word)

"So then, faith comes by "hearing", and hearing by the Word of God."  (This is the "rhema" word ... the flowing Spirit word)

- Romans 10:17

"For whatsoever is  "born" of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world,  even our faith".

- 1 John 5:4

Let all perception stop, until we have heard from the Spirit of God.  This is probably the greatest message of the cross.  (Not my will, but ... Yours be done - St. Mark 14:35,36;  a symbol of total repentance:  a really yielded servant)

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Now is the judgment of this world:  now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

And I, if I be lifted up from this earth, will draw all men unto me.  This he spoke, signifying what death he should die."

- St. John 3:14,15; 12:31-33

Now, there is a two-fold message in this that we have come to.

First, if we would see that oppression, that we hold as powerful, dead on the cross; and let the Spirit of God speak to us,  we would experience the power of God ... in a new way.   (Romans chs.6,7,8)

Secondly, if we would yield ourselves to the Father in faith,  obeying His Spirit direction, others would find eternal life through us, as well, ... and we would bear fruit.  (St. John chs.15,17)

This Spirit Realization

The actual "realization" that we come to as the Holy Spirit speaks to us, is what we plant our faith walk in.  It is the only truth for us. (the individual)   It's not found in religious teaching, or reasoning: it's found in the breath of realization from God's Spirit.  Our ministry to one another should be respectful of this.

"Use hospitality one to another without grudging.  As every man has received the gift, even so, minister the same one to another ... as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

If any man speak, let him  speak  as the oracles of God;  if any man minister,  let him do it as of the ability which God gives:  that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ.  To God be praise, and dominion, for ever and ever"

- 1 Peter 4:9-11

This Knowledge of God

There are several kinds of knowledge.  If it's wrong knowledge, it's not beneficial, and could even be deceitful. Be careful of well-meaning people, ... who counsel out of darkness.

The knowledge that comes from the Spirit of God, does not always agree with our perception of the way things should be;  but we can count on it. It is for us.  We need to be open to change. It's this truth that will bring us into the fullness of our individual lives that God has planned for us. Miracles will happen along the way, as we agree with our Father, in faith.

The more time we spend in prayer, the more comfortable we are with His changes, ... and His knowledge.

The more we walk in His faith, the more excited we will be in our blessings.

(listen,  to what the apostle, Paul said)

"We do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will, in all wisdom, and Spiritual understanding;  that you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,  being fruitful in every good work, and increasing  ... in the knowledge of God."

- Colossians 1:9,10

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom,  and revelation,  in the knowledge of Him:  the eyes of your understanding being enlightened;  that you may know what the hope of His calling is,  and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints is."

- Ephesians 1:17,18

(the apostle, Peter,  wrote to the people)

"Grace, and peace, be multiplied to you ... through the knowledge of God"

- 2 Peter 1:2

____

* "By his knowledge ... shall My  righteous servant  justify many"

When you look at this in the light of him coming as the Word, (St. John 1:1), and you see that it is He who will "baptize with the Holy Ghost" (St. Luke 3:16): ... and, when he said that "the Spirit of truth will come unto you, and abide with you"  (St. John 14:16,17,26;  Acts 2:38-40)

then,  you will see ...

that the knowledge of God is the presence of the Holy Spirit.

"You are all children of the light, and the children of the day:  we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  Therefore, let us not sleep as others do;  but let us watch, and be sober.

For they that sleep, sleep in the night;  and they that be drunk, are drunk in the night.  But let us who are of the day, be sober,  putting on the breastplate of faith and love;  and for a helmet, the hope of salvation."

-1 Thessalonians 5:5-8
(also: 1 John chs. 1-5)

A Thought for the Citizen

(see: Jeremiah 2:13)

The problem with "Bible believing" legalism (without the Holy Spirit), is that there are so many interpretations of it. (still leaving the human with his lordly overview of it)   There is no chance of this when the Spirit of truth speaks; and the ministries of the Body of Christ work together.

Am I advocating that we close the Scriptures,  ... and ignore them ?     Not at all.   (see how many times I quote from them)    Why would we turn away from the records of the gospel that we have ?   We should be trying to "pick up" on what was being said, so that we can become "wise unto salvation".  These ministries of old, ... are our fore-runners of faith.

But, I want you to know, ... that the Word of God is present in the Spirit of truth, and proceeds from the Throne of God ... in our day:  and will always continue to proceed  ... throughout eternity.

What we have been doing is judging the army by "morality", when we should be judging it ... by Spirituality.

Just as the ancient priests washed themselves in preparation to "serve" God; even so, baptism of water is a part of our testimony of  "readiness".

And just as we are "ready", and walk in watchful readiness, the Spirit of the Lord will speak to us, and direct us, as His will is done in this earth.

"Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks:  for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit.  Despise not prophesyings.  Prove all things;  hold fast that which is good."

- 1 Thessalonians ch.5

Chapter four

MinistrySm3.jpg

The Understanding

In this section, we will talk about healing, and restoration.  As this is a most important resident power in the Spirit of Christ, it is important for us to have an understanding, ... so that we may walk in it.

The Tree
   (Isaiah 61:3,9-11)

I want you, just for a moment, to picture a lofty, green tree.  For now, this is the way that I want us to see ... each other.

- Trees  blossom

- Trees  bear fruit

- the leaves are for "healing"

When we pray for someone, ... we pray for the "tree".  We pray for all their branches  (their family, and associates), the health of the trunk (testimony), the fruit (that it will be healthy, and come into maturity), and the sustaining presence of life ... in their leaves.

We need to abide in the same Spirit that dwelt in Christ, ... and let Him replenish us.  There is so much more to our brothers, and sisters, than what meets the eye. (we haven't even mentioned their roots,  and  their protective coating)  The Spirit of God sees all, and will help us to pray ... as we should.   (Romans ch.8)

What do you think  "these Trees" are
?

They are the planting of the Lord, the timbers for the Palace of God, the expressed Word, and Glory of the Father.    Why wouldn't we pray for them, and tend to their well-being ?

"That they might be called, Trees of Righteousness,  the planting of the Lord,  ... that He might be glorified."

____

Fault-Finding

Release yourself (and others) from judgment.  Sometimes, it's not our fault. We've done all that we knew to do.  We've prayed, and when we went to help, or get help,  we were rejected.

Let the "fault-finding" go.   Stay released in your spirit, to continue to flow in ministry.  Stay obedient.   Sometimes, it's not our fault.

Heal the sick.  Stay with it.  Call down the "light", and understanding.  Restore the ministries. (Nehemiah 2:8)     Let the Glory shine.         Think ... Restoration.

Perpetual Health and Restoration

"They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:  neither, shall one thrust another;  they shall walk every one in his path:  and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run up on the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble:  the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw ... their shining:

And the Lord shall utter His "voice" before His army:  for His camp is very great:  for He is strong that executes His word:  for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible;  and who can abide in it."

- Joel ch.2

"Come unto Me, all you that labor, and are heavy laden, and  ... I will give you rest."

- St. Matthew 11:28

Inspired to Pray

Some days ago, a woman phoned me to see how I was. She said that the Lord was inspiring her to pray for my health.  I believed her, but I didn't think that I felt sick.  Was the woman wrong ?   Here's what I believe the Lord was teaching us.

For months, I had encouraged this woman to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and to write things down that He was saying to her; and to expect things.  Well, she was doing that.

For some people in the Body of Christ, it is different ... than for others.  I believe that we all need to hear the Holy Spirit, but our direction, and outcome, will vary.  Some are led to insight and knowledge, others are led to intercession, while others are led to  "actions".  Some move towards healing, some towards instruction, and some towards giving.  Not all are the same.  (1 Corinthians ch.12)

This woman was being moved to prayer for healing, in spite of the fact that I couldn't see anything wrong.   There is a lesson in this.

Be obedient to the Holy Spirit.  Always, be obedient to the Holy Spirit.  Do what He says.  And, as you go, more understanding will open up, as He sees fit.

Out of this experience, I wrote the previous page about "the Tree": a truth that the Body of Christ needs to learn.  And who knows what the Spirit of God was seeing in my life.

Bless her heart.  I thank God for people who pray, and act, in obedience to the Spirit of God.     This is our day.

____

It's important to have vision. The scriptures have said, Where there is no vision, the people perish.  We must have a clear agenda; and not be "double-minded".  (James ch.1)

Our interpretation of matters, comes from our "perception";  which is given to us by the Holy Spirit.  It's important to know our orders.

The great Commander sees the large picture. The soldier is a very small part of it, and must resolve to be content with his orders, and believe in the oversight.

"We know that all things work together for good to them that love God;  to them who are called according to His purpose."

- Romans 8:28

The life that is birthed within us ... has the character of grace; but, is all-powerful.  The "Word" of God  protects, and enables.

Throughout the Scriptures, and for hundreds, and thousands, of years, the protection and restoration of God  ... has been referred to. The apostle Paul wrote to the believers at Ephesus, to put on the whole ... "armor" of God.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.      (the power of the Holy Spirit)

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  (Spiritual armor)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, ... but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness ... in high places.

Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand:  stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

And above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the "word" of God:  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, ... and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  and for me, that utterance may be given unto me that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel;  that I may speak boldly ... as I ought to speak.

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.  Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity."

- Ephesians 6:10-24

This armor that the apostle is talking about has no boundary that would limit its influence.    Wherever you might look, ... it is there.

The natural man cannot see, or understand it, because it is of the Spiritual realm.

It needs to be "worked with".  It needs to be put on.

In every case ... it is the Spirit Word.  Just as Jesus came as the demonstration of Word, even so, ... we walk in the same light, and demonstration of glory.  (St. John 1:1-18,  Revelation 19:10-21,  2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

You carry this presence by "hearing the Holy Spirit, and then by cooperating with Him in faith".

1. "Stand, with your loins girded about with truth. (word)   See: 2 Timothy ch.2,  and  1 Corinthians ch.2      Don't hide.      Stand in His Word.

2. "Having on, the breastplate of righteousness"   (right-doing, the active obedience to word, ... word expressed,   believing it)  Romans 10:1-10

3. "Feet shod, with the preparation of the gospel of peace"  (readiness, the  testimony, or word, of water baptism,   a clear conscience,  repentance, speaking the word)  Romans 10:10-15

4. "Taking,  the shield of faith"  (holding forth the Word)    Romans 10:8,17

5. "Take,  the helmet of salvation"  (the comforting word of the Spirit of truth)  St. John 14:16,17,26,27,  Ephesians 4:14-32

6. "Take, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God"   (Speak the Word of the Spirit)   Revelation 12:10,11  and  ch.19:10 -15, 21

7. "Praying always,  with  all prayer, and  supplication   ...   in the Spirit"

Someone
in a congregation (that is spiritually upset) comes to the minister for help, and gets a "carnal solution".   Our point is, they don't need "gibberish", ... they need a prophetic word.

Traditionally, preachers fall into the routine of "telling people" what some other person has said, as they quote their verses from Scriptures.

But, instead of promoting secondhand knowledge, and "opinion", we should be encouraging relationship with the Spirit of God.

Evidence of eternal life, is not that we can quote someone else's writings, but rather that we know the Father, and His ministries.

As was preached on the Day of Pentecost in answer to the question, "What must we do ? ";  ... the answer is "the promise of the Holy Ghost".

Some folks may never read the Bible.  But you may discover that they are trying to read you.

If they read the Bible (and that's it), they become "legalists".  If they read the branches of the Vine  (the believer) ... they become "fruit". (St. John ch.15)

As Jesus moved in obedience to the Father, and ministered in the earth, he became known as "the Word that became flesh".  (read: the  description  in  St. John ch.17)

The Spirit of Christ is "Spirit Word".  The temple, (built with people), is a "Spiritual habitation".  The armor of God is Spiritual armor.  (1 Peter ch.2,  Ephesians ch.2)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,  ... but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness  ... in outer regions"

- Ephesians 6:12

The Control

Exercise, to see the things  ... that God sees.  List that anxiety. Write it down on a piece of paper.

Name it, ... what God names it.

Let God give you a Word of faith ... about it.  Believe  ...  with Him.

Be "healed".   Be set free.  It's a process: just keep walking in it.    Be obedient to the Spirit of truth.  (that's repentance)

Focus, when praying for the sick, or any concern.  We need to develop our focus.  Get right in there.   See what the Holy Spirit sees.

Vision, is seeing into the event.  Go in there, in the Spirit.  Be at one with the Father.  Speak the Word of the Spirit with confidence.  Break beyond, any lying spirit.  Get yourself ready.  Get into the Spirit.  Let ... the river of Spirit flow.

The record of Jesus in the wilderness (St. Matthew 4:1-11) is a good illustration of what we are talking about.  The experiences that he had were in the "Spiritual realm".  He was moving out into the realm of the Spirits.

He was fasting, and taking his attention off of his physical concerns.  He was moving into  ... the Spiritual realm.

It's important for us to recognize that he did this by the Spirit of God.  (St. Mark 1:8-12)  It is impossible for us to understand Spiritual things, except by the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians ch.2, St. John 3:1-21, and ch.14:16,17,  also  Romans ch.8)   We need to stop blindly praying religious prayers; and blindly throwing Bible verses around.

The account of his three temptations by Satan ... were not of a physical nature.  They were ... spiritual experiences.

When he was taken to the Temple pinnacle, in the holy city, he was still in the wilderness.

When he was taken up on a high mountain ... to see all the kingdoms of the world, he hadn't moved from his spot.  It would be impossible to see all the kingdoms of the world from any one mountain.

He spent time becoming "familiar" with the Spiritual realm.  He would say, with ease,  ... "I and the Father are one."

When his disciples had problems dealing with some spirits, he counseled them towards "experience".   (St. Mark 9:16-29)

(Paul, the early apostle,  wrote)

"For you were in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord;  walk as children  ... of light.

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,  but rather, reprove them.

Awake, you that sleep, arise from the dead,  ... and Christ shall give you light.    Walk with His purpose, redeeming the time, for the days are evil.  Be not unwise,  but understanding  ... what the will of the Lord is.

Be filled with the Spirit;  speaking to yourselves in Psalms, and hymns, and Spiritual songs,  singing with melody in your heart to the Lord;  giving thanks always for all things unto God, the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;  submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

- Ephesians 5:8-21

1.  The Word

It's interesting how a Book has come to be known as the Word of God.  People know the Book,  ... but, they don't know God.

Paul, the apostle, said that these writings are to make us wise unto "salvation".  (an experience, rather than an opinion - 2 Timothy 3:15)

The Word

This is "workshop time", so let's get started.  Take your Bible, and let's read from John's writings. (St. John 1:1-3)   Who is the Word ?   (Not a Jewish man named Jesus:  He's  bigger than a man)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by Him;  and without Him was not anything made,  ... that  was made."

Where did John get this idea ?   Let's go back in the ancient writings  (Proverbs 8:22-31)  where we find "the Word" being described  as having the character of Wisdom. (ability)

"The LORD possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth was.

When there were no depths, I was brought forth;  when there were no fountains abounding with water, before the mountains were settled,  before the hills, I was brought forth:  while as yet, He had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part ... of the dust of the world.

When He prepared the heavens, I was there;  when He set a compass upon  the face of the depth:  when He established the clouds above:  when He strengthened the fountains of the deep:  when He gave to the sea His decree that the waters  should not pass His commandment:   when He appointed the foundations of the earth:  then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;

Rejoicing in the habitable part of His earth;  and my delights were ... with the sons of men."

Now, as we go back to John's writing  (St. John 1:4,5,9-14),  we see the Word's desire to move through His creation, and give man dominion, and direction.  (the Word  in  flesh)

"In Him was life;  and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in darkness;  and the darkness overtakes it not.

That was the true light which lights every man that comes into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But, as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, ... but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,  (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father),  full of grace,  and truth."

Now, let's go back to the ancient writings.  (Proverbs 8:32-36)

"Now therefore, hearken unto Me, O you children:  for blessed are they that keep My ways.  (comp. also: Revelation 3:20-22)

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.  Blessed is the man that hears Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors. For whoever finds Me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.  But, he that sins against Me wrongs his own soul:  and all they that hate Me, love death."

Now, compare John's writings.  (St. John 3:19)

"This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,  ... because their deeds  ... were evil".

What does it mean ... to be a child of God ?

Jesus taught his disciples ... that what they were seeing in him was his relationship  with the "Word" of the Father.  (St. John 14:10,16,17)

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me ?  The  "words" that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself:  but, the Father that dwells in me,  He does the works."

This same relationship would be theirs, as he told them to wait for ... the Spirit of truth.  (the Word)

"And I will pray the Father, and He shall ... give you another Comforter (guide), that He may abide with you forever;  even the Spirit of truth;  whom the world cannot receive,  because it sees Him not,  neither  knows Him;  but, you know Him;  for He dwells with you,  ... and shall be in you."

The apostle Peter wrote that we are  "born again" ... as the Spirit Word transforms our lives.  (Acts 2:16-18,39, 1 Peter 1:22,23)

"Seeing that you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit  ... being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, ... by the Word of God which "lives", and "abides",  ... forever."

The apostle Paul wrote that we are to be led by the Spirit Word, which we will find dwelling within us.  (Romans 8:14;  ch.10:8)

"But, as many as are led by the Spirit of God,  they are the  sons of God."

"The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart:  that is the  "word" of faith,  ... which we preach."

* See: Isaiah ch.55, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Joel ch.2,  Acts ch.2, Hebrews10:15-17, and  1 Corinthians ch. 2

In Revelation (another writing of John), we see the expression of the Christ as being the expression of the "Word".  (Revelation 19:10-13)

"I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus:  worship God:  for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse;  and He that sat upon him was called Faithful, and True, and in righteousness He does judge, and  make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns;  and He had a name written that no man knew,  but He Himself.

And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and His name is called the Word of God."

Throughout the Revelation, from beginning to end, phrases like "the testimony of Jesus" (the Spirit of prophecy),  "Alpha and Omega" (first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, signifying the totality of all Word), "the Word of God",  ... and the "Sword that proceeds from His mouth", all bring to light the real ruling power of God.

Everything from beginning to end, and eternal, is about the Word of God: for He creates, and rules, ... by His Word.

"And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword,  that with it He should smite the nations:  and He shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and He treads the winepress of the fierceness, and wrath,  of Almighty God.

And He has on His vesture, and on His thigh, a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

- Revelation 19:15,16

2.  The Christ

Now, that we have taken so much time on "the Word", the rest of these expressions, and ministries, should be much easier to identify with.

The term "Christ" is a title, not a name.  The ancient prophets used the Hebrew term "Messiah", which is the same as the Greek term  "Christ".  (meaning  "anointed one")

Much of the understanding that people had was very limited, and they saw this One to be an earthly king, and one single person. We know now, that when we speak about "Christ", like when we speak about "God's Word", that it is of a much larger scale.  (Universal, and Eternal)

Christ is the manifestation of God's  ... saving "Word".  If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of God's. Those that experience this Salvation ... become part of the Body of Christ, which is a body made up of many people, who walk in this anointing ... of the Spirit Word.  (Romans ch.8)

Many people have been taught that the Bible is God's Word, and that they should pray to Jesus;  but they have no experience with this "Christ" anointing, or the "Word".  They are lost, and deceived,  ...  by religion.

3.  The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is a Spiritual Kingdom, that manifests itself through the expressions of His people, angels, events, and other phenomena, ... as they express the Spirit Word.

It is much larger than just human beings, and this earth.  We have no idea how huge it is.  It is of another dimension, and is eternal.

When Jesus came preaching about the Kingdom of God, he also preached about ... our acceptance into it.

Because it is Spiritual, it is found within ourselves, as the Spirit of God speaks His Word in our lives.  (St. Luke 17:21, Romans 14:17)

4.  The New Covenant

This is the "covenant" relationship between God and man:  the Creator, and His creation.  It describes our relationship with Him, and what it should look like.

I think most of us understand what a "covenant" is;  but I think when it comes to the understanding of what we mean by "new", there could be some question.

a  "new" covenant could be  ...

- a different  covenant

- one that remains new constantly because of its nature,  or

- one that has been  restored

I don't really see anything "different".  The character of God's covenant with man has always been, "to hear Him and do all that He says".  Then, He says,  "I will be their God, and they  ... shall be My people".

The "essence" is still to "hear" the Word of His Spirit, and to do it.  (be in  obedient  relationship  with Him: trust Him)

In the Garden of Eden (Genesis ch.2), God "placed" man, gave him a Word of direction, and communed with him.

When He again renewed covenant relationship with Noah (Genesis ch.9),  ... He was speaking to Noah.

When He established covenant relationship with Abraham (Genesis ch.12), He was speaking to Abraham.

And to Moses, He said,  (Exodus 19:5,6)

"If you will obey My voice, and keep My covenant, then, you shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people:  for all the earth is Mine:  and you shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.  These are the words which you shall speak  ... unto the children of Israel."

When referring to the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:22),   He said,  "There I will commune with you".

____

Throughout the writings of the prophets, always, the issue was to "hear" the voice of the Spirit of God. (Isaiah 58:10-14, Psalms 98:2,  Jeremiah 24:7,  ch.11:1-5,  ch.31:31-34,  Ezekiel 36:21-27,  ch.37:14,   Joel ch.2,  Zechariah 2:13,  ch.6:15)

I don't think the covenant relationship that God has with man has changed  (Ephesians ch.1)  as much as it has been divinely accelerated", and "brought to light".  The prophets, in ancient writings, including those of most other cultures, had foretold of this  "acceleration".  (St. Matthew ch.2)

The message that accompanies this covenant is about the Kingdom of God, the outpouring of His Holy Spirit for all, the anointing of the Christ redeemer, the power of salvation, and the marriage of believers unto this Christ, ... who is the Saving "Word".    The covenant has "exploded" into prophetic manifestation.  It is the ... "light" of the world.

Jesus said, that he didn't come to do away with the law, and the "word of the prophets",  but to "fulfill it".  (St. Matthew 5:14-18)

It's the call to be reconciled to the Spirit of God: the call to citizenship, sonship, Word, dominion, and power:  the vengeance of the Salvation of God.  (Isaiah ch.61, St. Luke 4:16-21, St. John chs.1,3,14,15,16,  Acts ch.2,  and  Romans chs.8,10, Titus 3:5)

Now, we are witnesses to this.  We are here to do the will, and intent, ... of "the Spirit of God".

Hebrews chapter ten goes into great lengths to explain this:

"For the law, having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices  ... which they offered year by year, continually, make the comers thereunto  perfect.

For in burnt offerings, and sacrifices for sin, You have had no pleasure.  (Isaiah 1:11)

Then said I,  Lo, I come  (as in scriptures it is written of me), to do  Your will,  O God.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord,  I will put My laws in their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;  and their sins, and iniquities,  I will remember  ... no more.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;  (for He is faithful that promised);  let us consider one another to provoke unto love, and to good works:  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;  but, exhorting one another: and so much more, as you see the day approaching.

Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.  For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, ... you might receive the promise

Now, the just shall live by faith:  but, if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

But, we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;  but of them that believe ... to the saving of the soul."

Now, following chapter ten, the apostle goes right into how throughout history men and women have been challenged to be obedient to the Spirit of God, and live the life of faith.

The last verses (11: 39,40)  explain that even though they were heroes of the faith, they didn't receive the blessing that we have in Christ.

For in Christ, we have a high priest (Jesus), who died and gave himself for us, bearing our sin and making intercession to the Father, so that we might have restored consciences.

In Christ, we have fellowship with others, and the benefit of Spiritual gifts. (Acts 2:16-18, 1 Corinthians ch.12,14, Ephesians ch.4)  In Christ, we are no longer alone, but part of the Church, the Spirit "anointed" Body of Christ.

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the  eternal Spirit  offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works ... to serve  the living God ?

And for this cause, he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death,  ... for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance".

- Hebrews 9:14,15

* See also:  Ephesians chs. 1-6

5.  2 Churches

In the beginning, God created a beautiful Garden, and put man into it ... to manage it.  (Genesis ch.2)

"And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food: the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,  ... and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And the LORD God commanded the man saying,  Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat:  for in the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die."

Satan understood what the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was about.  It would open their eyes to "independent thinking".   It didn't matter what God's plans were.  Now, human beings could be independent  ... in their decisions about life. (Genesis ch.3)   And they would hide from the "voice" of the Spirit of the LORD.

This story of the Garden of Eden ... is the story of our human lives.

The Garden is the place where we are.  We are in the midst of God's sustenance, and beauty, where His voice can be heard moving in the breath of the day.  And, in this Garden, He has placed two trees of "ability".  (see: St. Matthew 7:13-23)

There are churches that are formed around "creed", and agreed upon "doctrine". They think they are religious: and the people don't know any better, because they look religious. They know the difference between good, and evil;   but, they are lost,  and don't know the voice of the Spirit.   (Revelation chs.2,3)   They are not like the one that does.

6.  The Body of Christ   (the Call)

The same way that Christ ministered as a man, is the way the Body of Christ ministers as a "many person" group.  Just as he was the expression of the Word;  even so, the Body of Christ is the same expression  of the Word.  The Spirit that directed Jesus, is the same Spirit that directs the Body of Christ, today.

When a person repents, and is baptized (Acts 2:37-47), they are not just getting "saved from their sin" so that they can go to heaven;  but rather, it needs to be understood that they are coming to be a "functioning part" of the Body of Christ.  (See: Romans chs.6,8,12,14, and 1 Corinthians chs.2,3,10,11,12, Ephesians chs.1,2,3,4,5,   and  Colossians chs.1,2,3)

Now, at this point, it is important for us to realize that our daily direction comes from the Head, which is Christ.   (the Word of the Spirit)

The members of the Body of Christ are individuals who have been reconciled to the Spirit of God.  The "voice of the Spirit" is their directorate.  The gifts that are functioning in the Body of Christ ... are  Spiritual gifts.

Although we serve and help one another out of love and consideration, we must be careful that we do not become reduced to just a "social" group,  with a religious opinion.

"if any man  (1)  hear my voice, and  (2)  open the door,  I will come in to him,  and will sup with him, and he with me.

To him that overcomes, I will grant to sit with me in my Throne, even as I also overcame,  and am set down with my Father in His Throne.  He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches."  (the Call)

- Revelation 3:20-22

7.  The Power of Creation

In Genesis chapter one, we have a brief description of the Creation of this world, including the human being.

As we realize that we are only aware of a very tiny part of this Creation, we are able to take "all" the limits off of God. He created things that we don't even know about.  He is the awesome Creator.

As we read through Genesis chapter one, we see how God creates the established "vision" with His Word, and then, in Genesis chapter two, this vision is brought into "being" with His power.  (Genesis 2:1-5)

When we see how Creation comes about, we gain a little understanding as to how the "new creation" (our "born again" experience) is brought into "being".

We were chosen "before the foundation of the world" to be an expression of His Word, in this generation. (Ephesians ch.1)   And yet, it takes the forming, and manipulating, and conversion, of the Holy Spirit, to bring us forth into "being"  ... that unique ministry that we are called to be.

We are "born again" by the Spirit, and by the Word of faith that is in our hearts, and in our mouths.  (St. John ch.3, 1 Peter ch.1,  Romans chs.8,10)

Creation is the expression of God's Word. That's why it is so important to "hear" what the Spirit of God is saying.

8.  The Message to the Church (Acts 2:16-18)

In the book of Revelation (chs.2,3) the message to every church  was to "hear what the Spirit is saying to the church".

9.  The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

In Revelation chapter eighteen, we read of a great secular power being thrown down, judged, and stripped of its glory.

In Revelation chapter nineteen, the vision changes;  and we see  into the "glory of the Eternal".  God is on the throne, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is about to happen.

This Supper is an illustration of the truths found in the following statements. And here we see following key words, like  "true sayings",  "testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy",  "the Word",    "the sharp Sword that proceeds from the mouth",  true "righteousness",  and  "judge and make war".

This Marriage is one of Dominion, and Power, as we are joined in union with Christ at the Great Judgment.

"The Bride has made herself ready"  (vs.7)

"her fine linen is the righteousness of the saints" (vs.8)

"the true sayings of God" (vs.9)

"the testimony (of Jesus) is the Spirit of prophecy" (vs.10)

"his name is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge, and make war" (vs.11)

"on his head, were many crowns" (vs.12)

"clothed with a vesture dipped in blood" (vs.13)

"his name is called  the Word of God" (vs.13)

"out of his  mouth  goes a  sharp Sword" (vs.15)

"KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (vs.16)

"come, and gather yourselves unto the Supper of the great  God" (vs.17)

"eat the flesh of kings, captains, mighty men, horses" (vs.18)

"armies gathered together to make war against him" (vs.19)

"they were slain with  the  Sword of him that sat upon the horse, which Sword proceeded out of his mouth"  (vs.21)

10.  The Eternal Word

There is a Region that is beyond this that we see.  It is the Spiritual realm from which all has been created.  It is a place of eternity: the place where multitudes of spirits, and angels, move freely in a power and light that is unknown to us.

The news was out !

God was creating a new "sphere", which He was going to call the "Earth".  (everyone  was excited)

A "call" had just gone out to the spirits, that if they wanted to go to this place for a short time, to help "establish" His Kingdom, the opportunity would be there.

I was one that spoke to the authorities, and soon I was on my way.

"You'll be given a Soul, and a Body", I was told;      and they went on to explain    ...

The Soul is "brand new".  It has the plan written into it, as to what you are supposed to do when you get there.  You may not always understand;  but the Spirit of truth will be with you to guide and to comfort you, ... just as He is here.

I was ready.  Where do I start ?

Well, before I knew it, I was taken and shown where my entrance way would be ... to this new realm.

"Do you see that couple down there ?", I was asked.  "You will be born to them;  ... and you will be a human being.

Just as you have been given your Soul, you will also be given a Body; and that's how you will move around.  And, before you leave, maybe you can help to make another Body, or two, for the next movement of spirits.  Down there, they call it ... a new generation."

Well, I'm here now.  And now, you know where I came from.

I'm still amazed at what the Father has written in my Soul, and I'm trying to do my best to get it all "out" before I go back. I'm sure glad for the "Spirit of truth",     because  He just seems  to know what's in there, and how to go about showing it to my generation.

The Father is "preparing something", and I'm sure it's going to be pretty awesome ... when it's all done.

It sure is noticeable though, that some spirits are being deceived by strangers.  I can see now ... that there is a battle going on, and sometimes it's confusing.  But, I guess I'll just stick to what I'm supposed to be doing, and trust the Spirit of truth to help me to get through ... with my mission.

(Now, with this story as a back-drop)

Let's go back to the Creation story in Geneses chapter one, to illustrate the eternal Word of God.

The common belief is, that God created the world, as we know it,  ... out of "nothing".

I want us to take another look at this "creation" in a different way;   and hopefully we will come to a realization that will help us in our understanding of how God performs His works.

_____

Creation, out of "nothing" ?   Not so.    Creation, out of "Vision" ?   Yes.

Vision, is the realization of God's Spirit Word.  It comes from the Spirit.

The reason that I want to emphasize this point, is that when the human looks at something, they should not judge it by what people think they see;  but rather by the "vision of God".

This is the reality that can come forth ... as a "creation" of God.

"In the beginning,  God created  the heaven  and  the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void;  and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light:  and there was light."

- Genesis 1:1-3

The first thing that God brings to a situation is "light". (Spiritual realization)   This "light" comes with the speaking of His Word.

And within this Spiritual "light" is all of the ability, and creation power of His Word.  (See: Proverbs 8:20-36, and  St. John 1:1-14)

Vision is not to be considered as "nothing". Vision, is the source of all Creation.  When you are spending time with God, allowing His vision to come forth in your life, ... you are at the brink of the most creative adventure possible.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.   For by it   ...   the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God,  so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

- Hebrews 11:1-3

It is the realization of vision  ... that brings about God's creation in our  lives.

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be  brought  unto you  at the  revelation of Jesus Christ,   as obedient children,  not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts  in your ignorance:

And if you call on the Father,  who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your visitation here in fear:

Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold,  ... from  your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  but with the  precious  blood of Christ, as of a lamb without  blemish and spot:

Who was verily foreordained before the foundation of the world,  but was manifest in these last times for you,  who  by him do believe in God,  that  raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory;   that  your  faith  and  hope  might be  in God.

Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit   unto an unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed,  but of incorruptible,  by the Word of God which lives and abides  forever.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:  but the Word of the LORD  endures forever.  And this is the Word which is preached unto you by the gospel."

- 1 Peter 1:13,14,17-25

The first Creation (Genesis ch.1)  was a "visionary" creation, that revealed to us God's prophetic intention.

But, as the understanding unfolds, we begin to see back into eternity, that God's purpose for our life was established before we were ever born.  It is by no accident that we were born in our generation, as these intentions were also written into the eternal Word.

In the second Creation  (after Genesis ch.2:5),   we see that even the "generations" were created.  (Some versions of scripture don't include the term  "generation"  in verse 4,  but, you can also see  Isaiah 41:4, Jeremiah 1:4-10,  Ephesians ch.1,  and  St. John 3:19-21)

We have a generational call, with a select message, and ability.  God forbid that we would try to copy another, rather than to respond to our purpose.  (Ephesians 1:17,18,  ch.2:10,  ch.4)

We can't do anything apart from the "Spirit of truth" ... that is of eternal value:  as we are created by the eternal Word.

Because of the power of the eternal Word in the first visionary Creation;  now, the second Creation is popping like popcorn.  But, I ask you,  Are you living out "your call" ?   Don't waste another minute.   (Acts 2:37-40)   This is the generation of the Eternal Word. (Revelation 3:20,21,22)

11.  Life

When we speak of God, and Life, we speak of all of it.   God doesn't only relate to a part of it.     He is the Creator of "all" of it.

It's not just sermons about religion.  The Spirit moves through all areas of life.  Justice.  Health.     Development.

This is God's Creation.  His Spirit Word is the "light" which lights every man.  (St. John 1:1-14)

"Who has brought it forth and done it;  calling the generations from the beginning ?    I the LORD, the first and with the last.  I am He."

- Isaiah 41:4

Declare the destiny of your Being.  Hear what you are saying.  The duty of your destiny is under the shadow of His wing.  Be a good steward:  Faithful and True.  (Revelation 19:11-21.  ...  this is the model to follow)

The saints are clothed in their righteous "deeds".  (Revelation 19:8, St. John 3:21)  This army that is following the Word of the Spirit is not one of helplessness;  but rather, it is an army of power.  It's the army that works in the unity of the Spirit ... to bring forth the healing for the nations.  (Joel ch.2,  Isaiah ch.61,  St. Luke 4:14-21,  Acts 1:8,  ch.2:14-21)

Within the character of these soldiers is found "the principles of relationship", and the fullness of forgiveness.

"Not imputing their trespasses unto them"  (Isaiah ch.53,   2 Corinthians 5:19)

It's the understanding of the light ... that releases from the unusual burden of darkness,  and  demon attachment.

Accepted of the Spirit of God.  The product of forgiveness.  The essence of faith;  understanding the unusual bitternesses.   It's the coming home: filled with the Spirit.

Within their "being" is found the 3 fold understanding of the wilderness:  the resolve of Spirit Word, ministry, and authoritative power.   (St. Matthew ch.4)

The politics of the Kingdom.  The boundless love  of the redeemer's prayer.   (St. John ch.17)

They understand that prophetic voice of Jesus,  ...  as  the Word  is uttered:

"I am the way,  the truth,  and the life"

(for an understanding of this statement read:  St. John 14:6,   then,  ch.1:1-14,  then, Proverbs ch.8,  then, Revelation 19:10.    This is not about the man Jesus.  If you take this  "prophetic utterance" in its setting,  ...  then, you must compare  St. John 14:6  with  verse 10,  and  the whole teaching of these chapters)

______

"Now, therefore hearken unto Me, (the Word), oh you children:  for blessed are they that keep My ways (the way).  Hear instruction, be wise,  (the Truth)  and  refuse it not.  (Spirit of truth:  St. John 14:16,17, Romans 8:14)

Blessed is the man that "hears" Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.

For, whoever finds Me, finds life (the life),  and shall obtain favor of the LORD.

But, he that sins against Me, wrongs his own soul:  all they that hate Me, love death."    (comp. St. John 3:19-21)

- Proverbs 8:32-36

Our bodies are earthly vessels, but our relationship with the Spirit of the Father  ... is eternal.   (comp. St. John 6:63)

The Message

Now, as we look at this army of Believers, which is the Body of Christ, our message is clear to all:    (we understand)

"There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of operations,  but it is the same God which works all in all.  But, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

For to one is given (by the Spirit) the Word of wisdom;  to another the Word of knowledge  (by the same Spirit);  to another faith  (by the same Spirit);  to another the gifts of healing  (by the same Spirit);  to another the working of miracles;  to  another prophecy;  to another discerning of spirits;  to another many kinds of tongues;  to another the interpretation of tongues:  but, all of these work by the one Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.

For as the Body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one Body, being many, are one Body:  so also is Christ.

For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews, or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;  and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.  For the Body is not one member, but many.

If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the Body;  is it therefore not of the Body ?   And if the ear shall say,  Because I am not the eye,  I am not of the Body;    is it therefore not of the Body ?

If the whole Body were an eye, where would the hearing be ?

But God has now set the members, every one of them, in the Body, as it has pleased Him.  And if they were all one member, where would the Body be ?    The eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you:  nor  again, the  head  to the feet, I have no need of you.

No, and much more those members of the Body which seem to be more feeble ... are necessary.  For our comely parts have no need:  but, God has tempered the Body together, having given more abundant honor to the part which lacked:  that there be no division in the Body;  but, that the members should have the same care ... one for another.

Now, you are the Body of Christ, and members with an identity.

God has set some in the church, first, apostles, secondarily, prophets, thirdly,  teachers, after that miracles, then, gifts of healings, helps, governments, and  diversities of tongues.

Are all apostles ?   Are all prophets ?   Are all teachers ?   Are all workers of miracles ?   Have all the gifts of healing ?   Do all speak with tongues ?   Do all interpret ?

But, covet earnestly ... the best gifts."

- 1 Corinthians ch.12 (part)

"Follow after love, and desire Spiritual gifts, but rather, that you may prophesy.      For he that speaks in an unknown tongue,  speaks not unto men, but unto God:  for no man understands him;  but in the Spirit, he speaks mysteries.  But, he that prophesies, speaks unto men  ... to edification, and to exhortation, and to comfort.      (Communication)

He that speaks in an unknown tongue, edifies himself;  but he that prophesies,  edifies the church.  For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle ?

So likewise you, except you utter by the tongue words easy to be understood,  how shall it be known what is spoken ?   For you shall speak into the air.   Even so,  forasmuch as you are zealous of Spiritual gifts,  seek  that you may excel to the edifying of the church.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.  What am I saying ?    I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with the understanding, also:  I will sing with the Spirit,  and I will sing with the understanding, also.

Even when you shall bless with the Spirit, how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned, say Amen, at your giving of thanks, seeing that he doesn't understand what you said.

But, if all prophesy, and there comes in one that doesn't believe, or is unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: and thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest;  and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God, and report that God is in you, of a truth.

So, here's how it is, When you come together, every one of you has a psalm, a teaching, a tongue, a revelation, an interpretation.  Let all things be done ... unto edifying.

Let the prophets speak, (two, or three), and let the other judge.  For you may all prophesy one by one,  that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

Wherefore, brethren,  covet to prophesy,  and don't forbid to speak with tongues.  Let all things be done decently, and in order."

- 1 Corinthians ch.14 (part)

"And above all things, have fervent love amongst yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.  (and  offences)

Use hospitality one to another,  without grudging.

As every person has received the gift, even so, minister the  same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  (Prophesy)

If any person speaks, let them speak as the oracles of God;  if any person ministers, let them do it with the ability that God gives:  that God in all things  may be glorified through Jesus Christ.  To Him be praise and dominion for ever, and ever.   Amen.

______

As we have looked at some teachings from the early apostles, as to how to function in Christ,  the importance of  the Word of the Spirit becomes evident.  This is not a religious Body;  it is a Spiritual Body.    We must see ... that there is a difference.

Let's look at several more scriptures that bring this "light" to us.

In Revelation (chs.2,3) every church is admonished to "hear" what the Spirit is saying.  It's also pointed out that He "knows" what is going on.   That accounts for the gift of the Word of knowledge, ... that we just read about.  (1 Corinthians ch.12)

When we see reference to the prophetic Spirit Word being spoken, it is used to release the power of God's intention.

"And to the angel of the church in Pergomos write:  These things says He who has the sharp sword with two edges;

Repent;  or else, I will come unto you quickly, and will fight against them with the Sword of my mouth."

- Revelation 2:12,16

The two witnesses (Revelation ch.11) are prophesying God's Word.  (The Word of the King of Kings, the God of all Creation)

The Christ warfare is carried on by the Spirit of prophecy.

"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See that you don't  do it: I am your fellow servant, and of your  brethren that have the testimony of Jesus:  worship God:  for the testimony of Jesus ...  is the Spirit of prophecy.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse;  and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, he does judge, and make war.   (our example)

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;  and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he  himself.  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called the Word of God.  And the armies, which were in heaven, followed him upon white horses, and they were clothed in fine linen, white, and clean.

(Warfare)

And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he has on his vesture, and on his thigh, a name written, KING OF KINGS  AND  LORD OF LORDS.

And  I saw an angel  standing in the sun;  and  he cried with a loud voice,   saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven,  Come, and gather yourselves together unto the Supper of  the Great God;  that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and  the flesh of horses, and of them that sit upon them, and the flesh of all men both free and bond,  both small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that did miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image.  These both were cast alive into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone.

And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse,  which sword proceeded out of His mouth:  and all the fowls of the air were filled with their flesh."

- Revelation 19:10-21

____

The Word of the Spirit is alive, and has intent, character, and emotion. This Spiritual Word is the character of Christ.

We lose our lives to take on His life.  The baggage that we have loaded ourselves with, from our relationships with others, is continually being let go.

People listened to the teachings of Rabbi Jesus, but what we are talking about ... is much more.  We are looking to the Christ anointing;  the coming of the "powerful function" of Christ.

When Jesus began to teach, John the Baptist sent men to him to ask the question,  Are you the Christ ?

"Jesus answered them,  Go, and show John the things that you hear, and see:

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.  And  blessed is he that is not offended in me."

- St. Matthew 11:4-6

____

When Jesus stood up in the temple and read a part of the prophecy of Isaiah, he was referring to the Christ anointing.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;  He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to  preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he closed the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down.  And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."

- St. Luke 4:16-21

____

The purposes of the Christ anointing are more than ... to just form an opinion, or have a "belief" about God.

One can read the part that Jesus read from in Isaiah (ch.61), and see that there is a change that came to a people, and to a society, and to the world. The Christ anointing is meant to "change" lives. The expectation of this anointing is to bring "change".

____

In one of the apostle Paul's letters, he pointed out to the church how Jesus responded ... to the Christ anointing.

"He made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

And now, God has highly exalted him, and has given him a name that is above every name  ... "

- Philippians 2:7-9

The name, or title, that was adjoined to Jesus, was Christ;  the same name that we find our "glorious inheritance" in as we submit to the  same "Spirit Word".  (See: Romans 8:9-17, Ephesians chs.1,2,3,4,  and  Colossians chs.1,2)

Please, try to understand these scriptures.

It's not about a belief in a legend;   but rather, about an immersion into an anointing of Spirit Wordthe Christ;  which is the "promise of the Father".   (Acts 2:16-18,38-40)

We have a people that believe that a man named Jesus died on a cross years ago:   but, these people have no experience with the Christ anointing.  They have a false religion, and walk in darkness.  (oblivion)

Instead of changing from one Spirit realization, to the next, they fall into the cultural beliefs, and lifestyle, of their group; ... and an understanding and commitment to Spiritual Word, and the Body of Christ, is never "brought into being".

Activities, replace the operation of Spiritual gifts;   and they won't stop to change.

"For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

For our conversation is in heaven (Spiritual);  from whence we also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (the Word):

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself."

- Philippians 3:18-21

____

Fasting

There is a benefit to fasting.  As was stated in scripture (Hebrews ch.12), it's good to lay aside the weights, and distractions, that so easily creep into our lives, hindering us from running a good race:  distractions like "wrong goals" ... that have come from sources other than the Spirit of truth.

Our lives  (and cutting back)

Fasting, is not only about "food".  It could be about many things:

- music, and entertainment

- friends

- sports, and hobbies

- business clutter

- ministry

- family

- (see also: St. Luke 8:11-21)

The importance that we place upon hearing the Word of the Spirit in our own lives, is the same importance that we expect from others.

What kind of fruit ... do we bear ?

The importance of "one" single person's relationship with the Spirit of God is seen over, and over again, throughout history: and we must remember, that at the end of the day, it will be the question about each of our own lives  ... that will be answered.

I pray that the power of darkness will be broken over you, and that you will see the glorious "realization" of this new life.

In the apostle's letter to the Ephesian church (ch.6), when he is talking about putting on our "armor", and about "spiritual warfare",  he amazingly puts it in a setting of how we are as children, fathers,  servants, and masters;  as a single individual, in our everyday lives.

You see, this is where our history is written.  This is where we bear fruit.

This is where we effect "our" generation.

Could it be, that while we are out "looking for the lost", that we are brushing aside the fruit that God has given to us ?

____

Fruit Bearing  (for real)

"I am the true vine (the Word), and my Father is the vinedresser.  Every branch in me that bears not fruit, He takes away:  and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now, you are clean (pruned)  through the Word which I have  spoken unto you.    Abide in me (the Word),  and I in you.   As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine;  no more can you, except you abide in me. (the Word)

I am the vine, you are the branches,  he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.  (comp. St. John ch.14:10,11)

If a man abide not in me  (Spirit Word, Christ),  he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;  and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are  burned.

If you abide in me, and my Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit;  so shall you be my disciples.

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:  that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name  (Christ anointing), He may give it to you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own:  but, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore, the world hates you.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they would not be guilty of sin
(compare ch.3:19-21): but now, they have no cloak for their  sin."

- St. John 15:1-8,16,19,22

As we are attached to "Christ" (the Spirit Word) our lives are being drawn upon by "fruit" that is in this temporal world.

Flowing from the Word ... is a creative Spiritual substance that brings forth new life people,  ... that we call fruit.   (Hebrews 11:1)

The difference between them, and religious converts, is that these people already have come to know the Spirit of God, and they will continue to feed  ... off of the Spirit of God.

They know what the Word tastes like; and it doesn't taste like paper.

Now, as we stand as trees of righteousness, we will often be attacked in order to stop the multiplication of the Kingdom of God.

The "armor" that the apostle is talking about is a significant part of the Christ anointing ... to protect the flow of the Spirit of Salvation, which creates new life, and ministry.

The fruit is given life through our relationship with the Spirit of Christ; and the "armor" is our protection as we sustain this life-giving  process.

Love keeps us "connected".   And the armor keeps the flow of Spiritual gifts protected.  (protects the "sustenance")

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching with all perseverance  and supplication for all  saints;

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly,  (to make known the mystery of the gospel),  as I ought to speak."

- Ephesians 6:18-20

____

Realization

The armor is not just to protect the individual as they are comfortably pursuing their interests.   In fact, it's not for the average person.

As the person presents his, or her, self to the army, they are to become at one with the purpose of the army.   The "armor" has a higher function; and that is, to protect the vessel of "purpose", so that the mission might be fulfilled.

The area of fruit-bearing is a delicate, and committed, area of our lives in Christ, and we must take up the whole armor of God to protect it.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh, and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in outer regions.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand,

Stand therefore, having your loins gird about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:   praying always with all prayer,  and   supplication, in the Spirit,  and watching with all perseverance  and  supplication for all saints"

- Ephesians 6:10-18

A word of advice ...

When we speak of these things, I want to caution you that it's very easy to become a "judgmental legalist".  (just on another  level)

In every situation, ... the Spirit of God has something to say.

The "helmet of salvation" recognizes the presence of God's Spirit, acceptance, and Kingdom; and all that salvation brings with it.  (renewing of the mind, discernment, wisdom, realization, and prophetic endowment)

We need to be careful that we don't resort to some carnal standard  ... that "excludes".

It's not about judging people; but rather, about ministering to people, and praying for people.   Salvation functions in a Spirit of grace, and forgiveness, not judgment and condemnation.

Hear the Spirit of Christ,  (which is the saving Spirit of the Father),  ... and co-operate with Him.

____

Giving

Why is giving so good ?

Because,  ...  it relates to the grace of God.  When we start to align ourselves with His grace;  that is a river that overwhelms.

But, even in our giving we must be led of the Spirit of God.  Our resources, time, patience, gifts, and love, belong to Him.

  ____

Relationship

Because this is the most crucial area of our living in this earth,   ... relationship will take the most dedication.  We are here for a reason;  and "relationship" is important.

It's the most blessed experience;  and also the one that is the most dangerous.

It's about intimacy with the Spirit, and the individual.   It can be a fearful thing.    So, let's take a moment, and see if we can help.

We need to remember that we're not in this alone.  We're abiding in the Word of the Spirit, and the Father continues to help us, and speak to us.  We also need to remember that the other members of the Body of Christ work in harmony with us.

Practice with prophecy. You can't build a Spiritual relationship with carnal conversation.    You can build a good carnal one,   ... but it won't be Spiritual.

Take the time to get a Word from the Spirit of God. Hear what the Spirit is saying to the person.  That is the most intimate relationship that you can have with God, and the individual.

Most people, when they visit somebody, talk about every topic that they can think of:  and never ask the Holy Spirit to show them anything.   That's why they don't bear fruit.

"Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine;  no more can you, except you abide in me."

- St. John 15:4

Let the Spirit of God bless you both. It's the love of the Spirit, with no divisions.  Practice with prophecy, and let the other (prophets) judge.  (1 Corinthians 14:29-32)   Be careful, what you are passing on ... to the fruit.

As you abide in Christ,  you too can say,   ...

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser.  Every branch in me that bears not fruit, He takes away:  and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it,   that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now, you are clean through the Word, which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me,  (the Christ, the Spirit Word),  and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine;   no more can you,  except you abide in me.

I am the vine;  you are the branches.  He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit:  for without me, you can do nothing.

If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If you abide in me, and my "Words" abide in you, (live in you), you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein, is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit;  so shall you be my disciples."

- St. John 15:1-8

What Kind of Fruit ?

"That they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,   that He might be glorified."

- Isaiah 61:3

MinistrySm3.jpg

The Truth

This is your hour.  This is your generation. This is your nation.

It is important that we understand God's intention, and how He expresses His light to these people of our day, if we are to live with His purposes ... in mind.

For an introduction to this, we can quickly review a classic example as we look at the record of the prophet Isaiah.

In many of the chapters of Isaiah the Spirit of God is showing Isaiah what will happen to the people of his nation, and the surrounding nations of his region.  But, in some of the parts of this great prophecy the Spirit of God speaks right on through to "our" time, and to our people, and even to the whole world.  These are revelations  ... of the Christ.

The call is huge.  It still looks the same.   And, it is applicable to "our" generation.

In Isaiah (ch.51), God is looking at the new generation of the youth, and He's asking the question, "Where is someone who can lead the people to a Spiritual relationship".  (vs.18)

"There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth:  neither is there any that takes her by the hand of all the sons that she has brought up."

What a tragedy.  A generation headed for loss. What a lesson this should be to us. They were religious,    ...  but didn't know God.

The next chapter (ch.52), opens with a  "wake-up" call to these lost people, and a reminder of who God is.

"Listen to Me, My people, this is what My Name means".

Therefore, My people shall know My Name:  therefore, they shall know in that day ... that I am He that does speak:   behold,  it is I."  (vs.6)

As the message unfolds (ch.52), He is looking for someone who will speak His words.  And then, as in Acts ch.1, He says that His servants will not go out in haste, because He will work with them;  both to lead, and to follow.

"The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations;  and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.   (vs.10)

The kings shall shut their mouths, for that which had not been told them, they shall see  (Spiritual realization),  and  that which they had not heard, they shall  consider."   (vs.15)

And, as we see these messengers of the Spirit of God rising up out of our midst, a picture of what this anointing looks like becomes more clear.  (ch.53)

The Christ anointing is an anointing of service. God wants to restore His people.  He wants to give them guidance, set them free from bondages;  heal them, and speak with them.

He wants the new youthful generation to know Him, and fulfill their purpose.  It's not enough to know about a religion, or have an opinion, or to be tolerant of religion.  Salvation comes as each one of us experiences the light, and knowledge, of God's presence.  (Isaiah 53:11, St. John 17:3)

"Who has believed our report?"   (53:1)

This is not going to be "easy".  The majority of people are accustomed to their way of doing things.  The leaders have been accepted, and they don't want to give up their power. Society has built a momentum;  even if they are going down the wrong road.

It must start with someone, and that someone will definitely pay a price.  (vs.3-12)

"He is despised, and rejected of men;  a man of sorrows, and acquainted  with grief:  and we hid our faces from him.  He was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely, he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:  yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:  and so that we could have peace, he was chastised;  and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray;  we have turned every one to his own  way;  and the Lord has laid upon him the iniquity of us all.

He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:  by his knowledge  shall my righteous servant justify many;  for he shall bear their iniquities.

He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

"Who has believed our report ?"

Sometimes, it just seems like nobody wants to listen.  But, when we stay in harmony with God's Spirit, He becomes the architect of their conversion:  and people will be brought into a knowledge of God's  presence, rather than our opinion.  This is the ministry that Jesus walked in.  It is the Christ anointing.

Healing, prophecy, love, "light".

 Look at this !

         Jesus' Ministry  (the Christ)

"Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you.  Walk, while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you:  for he that walks in darkness knows not where he is going.

While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may be children of the light.

But, though he had done many miracles before them,  yet they believed  not on him:  that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled,

"Who has believed our report ?   And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed ?

He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart:  that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

Jesus said with a loud voice, He that believes on me, believes not on me,  but on Him that sent me.

I have come as a "light" into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.

And, if any man hears my words, and believes not, I judge him not:  for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him:  the "word"  (Spirit Word) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself;  but the Father who has sent me, He told me  what I should say, and what I should speak.

And I know that this "word" is life everlasting:  I speak what the Father tells me to speak."

- St. John 12:35-50 (part)

____

We are to "live out" of the Christ anointing

As we have seen in the prophecy of Isaiah, and in the ministry of Jesuswe also are called to live out of this same anointing, and  bring forth the same ministry of the Spirit.

The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans (ch.12), exhorted the people to present their lives as a living sacrifice to God, have a renewed mind (by the Spirit), know what the intention of God is, and forget about being conformed to this world.  There is a ministry awaiting you.

Then, in the next chapter (ch.13), he places the individual into the midst of the society (in their generation), and tells them to move with grace, and with the mind of the Lord.

"And knowing  that it is high time to awake out of sleep:  for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand:  let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Let us walk honestly, (forthrightly), as in the day;  not in rioting and drunkenness,  not in sexual lust,  not in arguing and jealousy.

But, put on the anointing of Christ, and don't get sidetracked into fleshly indulgences."

- Romans 13:11-14

_____

A Tolerant Society

Be careful of a "tolerant society".  Although it looks nice, there are two other cousins that ... come along with it.

The first "effect" that it tries to portray is that we should express our religion in private;  do not effect our neighbor;  and let everything go along ... nice and peaceful. (always)

The second step that it will lead to is to remove the "witness" from the public society;  and then no one will be offended. This will even be enforced by law;  and the only thing that will triumph (for our next generation)  is secularism, and darkness.

If you are waiting for the perfect situation in this wayward world, then I must tell you ... that it will never happen.

Light ... is always the enemy of darkness.

Now, having said this, I would also remind you that we have had many Bible, and Religious, activists throughout history, that were not leading people to a "relationship" with the Spirit of God:  they were  just ... bothering  people.

The Christ anointing moves through a society in many different ways as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and walk in love,  and ministry.    (putting  on the armor of "light")

God has made a promise to people, that He would bring them light, and peace, and healing.  He is calling people to have a relationship ... with the "presence" of His Spirit.

This is the promise of the gospel that Peter and the early apostles ... preached about.  (Acts 2:38-40)

It's the same promise that Isaiah prophesied about in his writing.   (Isaiah ch.54)

It's the answer to a "barren society" that is starving their next generation.   It's a chapter of restoration, and  revival.

Isaiah ch.54  ... "The Promise"  (Revival)

Become Aware

Lift up !   Acknowledge what God ... is doing.

Jesus said, he that receives the Son, receives the Father.  To acknowledge what God is doing ... is to acknowledge the "offspring" of the Father.  (the Word coming forth into expression  - St. John ch.1, ch.5:19-47, ch.8:29-47)

Become aware !       Don't languish in ... the darkness.

"My delights ... are with the sons of men.   (says, the Spirit of God)

Now therefore, hearken unto Me, O you children:  for blessed are they that ... keep My ways.  (the Spirit)

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.  Blessed is the man that hears Me,  watching daily at My gates,  watching at the posts of My doors.  For whoso finds Me, finds life,  and shall obtain  ... favor of the LORD.  (comp. Revelation 3:17-22)

But, he that sins against Me, wrongs his own soul:  all they that hate Me, love death."

- Proverbs 8:31-36

Isaiah ch.59

the Justice chapter

"Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;  neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  but your iniquities have separated between you and your God,  and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.   None calls for Justice.

And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor:   therefore, His arm brought salvation unto Him;  and His righteousness,  it sustained Him.

For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon His head;  and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies;   to the islands He will repay recompense.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from ... the rising of the sun.

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up ... a standard against  him.

And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression, says the LORD.   (Joel ch.2, Acts 2:38-40)

As for Me, this is My covenant with them, says the LORD;  My Spirit that is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth,  shall  not depart out of your mouth,  nor out of the mouth of your seed,  nor out of the mouth of your  Seed's  seed,  says the LORD ... from henceforth,  and  forever."

Lighten up ... you that bring salvation.  Not "doom and gloom" ... and darkness.

"Justice for all".  Righteousness, and bravery, in it.  There is loudness, and cheerfulness.

Remember the days of revival.   They are joyous, and expressive, not forlorn.    Relax.      Open wide.

Do you know what Spirit ... you are of ?   (St. Luke 9:51-56)

"For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives,  but to save them"

____

And so, even now, just as in the days of Isaiah, and as in the days of Jesus and the early apostles, God is still calling people to Himself;   that they might learn to walk in the light of His fellowship;  and know His purposes in their lives.

He wants you to know Him, and to be a light for those who ... are lost,  and distracted.

       Our Ministry  (to others)

1.  We  sense   ...  something  is  wrong.

2.  We  see  the problem;    and gain an

    understanding  from the  Spirit  of

    the LORD.

3.  Then,  we are birthed into an understanding
of the "solution".  (that is  ... Light)

4.  An  "empowerment"  comes  from the Spirit

    of God.  (Grace)

5.  Salvation, and  revival,  ... emerge from the

obscure place,  as  obedient  faith  is  put

     into  action.

6.  The cycle is  repeated.  (that's  ...  Ministry)

The Knowledge

The Knowledge of the Spirit

The worse thing that one could ever hear from God  is  ... ,

"Depart from Me, I never knew you"    (St. Matthew 7:21-23)

The gospel that has always been preached by the servants of God ... is that we are all made to drink into one Spirit;  that being the Spirit of God.  We are to grow in the knowledge of Him.

Jesus prayed to the Father for the disciples ... that they would know the presence of the Spirit of God, and recognize what the Spirit of God ... was doing around them.

"And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God,  and  Jesus Christ whom You have sent.  (God's light)"

- St. John ch.17

The armor is found in the knowledge.  It's found in an unseen realm.

(1 Corinthians ch.2,  Ephesians ch.1)

It is experience.       It is relationship.

We wear it with patience.  We do not put it on:  and take it off.    We stand in it:  ... the knowledge of His presence.

Relationship.   "I in Him, and He in me".   (St. John 14:10,17)

It's not about "doing".  It's about relationship.  The new creature comes into being.   (Romans 8:11-17,  2 Corinthians 5:17)

We are to "walk in the light, as He is in the light".  (1 Thessalonians ch.5, 1 John chs.1-5)

Sons of God are to be led by the Spirit of God.  (Romans ch. 8)

Our actions are to be "expressed" in His name;  having our loins gird about with the truth that is found in His Spirit.

We are to walk in regeneration: not memorization. (see: Ephesians ch.1, Titus ch.3,  1 Corinthians ch.2)

____

Wrong information

In many different religions there are people that are inspired by grace;  but they may be giving wrong information, at the wrong time.

We need to hear  what the Spirit is saying.

Most times, the thing that causes division is the debate over the information that is being shared.  We need to hear what the Spirit is saying.

Do you know what ?

Life isn't about the great battles that you fought. It's about the special people that you've met.

Come on.  Give me the five most precious people that you've met, and had a friendship with.      That's what life is about.

Why don't you look them up ?   Is it because you're cynical ?  Or, bitter ?

You may have been so critical of people;  "judging"  whether, or not,  ...  they are saved.

It's a pile of (..?..).   You've been  "had".  "Duped".   The good intention is there,  ... but that's it.

Are you open to change ?   Can you humble yourself,  ...  and wait upon the LORD ?

"As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance ..."

- 1 Peter 1:14

If you want to experience "resurrection" life, then you must go ... through a dying out process

  What do I mean ?

Sometimes the circumstances, and the spiritual atmosphere around us, seems almost unbearable.    Our nerves are at "an end".

But, in the midst of that dark struggle the powerful grace of the Spirit of God will arise, and you will know the presence of the Spirit of truth.

He will talk to you,  and reassure you.  He will give you power, and strength.  You will learn to know Him.  (Paul, the early Christian apostle, spoke of this)

"For we would not have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that  we were pressed out of measure, above strength,  insomuch that we despaired even of life.

We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead."

- 2 Corinthians 1:8,9

Look for the flow and power of grace in the midst of your problem.  Look for the light of direction (realization) in the midst of darkness.  Look for the life of the presence.  (Give it some time, and attention)

"I will direct you in  new  paths"

We must understand the servitude of grace; which is the power of  "warfare".   We can't pattern ourselves after what we see going on.

Jesus said,   ...

"The words that I speak unto you, they are not my own.  The Father, who is in me, He does the works."

- St. John 14:10

Truth.  Faith.  Hope.  Love.   Having fellowship in sincerity.  It topples all the wickedness, and foils the enemy.

When we learn to hear the Spirit of God in our mind, and in vision, we begin to understand what drives anxiety, and even our own anxiety.  That's called discernment.

As we weed out the bad by fasting;  and act in faith in this discernment, a new settlement happens in our innermost being.   We'll soon understand that the servitude of grace depends upon    ... this flow of experience.

The light is more than just knowledge.  It is also the "presence".  And this presence is character, and grace.

"Walk in the light,  as He is in the light"

Cultivate the experience of the grace of God;  and He will lead you into truth ... as you walk.

It's the grace that people see, and are conceived by.   The word encompasses all of this.

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,  (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.  And of His fullness have we all received,  and  grace for grace.

No man has seen God at any time;  the only begotten (son),  which is in the bosom of the Father,  He has declared Him."

- St. John 1:14.16-18

There is no light apart from contact.  We need the source.  It's about the other point of contact.  (knowing the Spirit)

This is where religion loses it.  People generalize, lose Spirit contact;  and instead of bearing fruit, they make converts.

Exploitation, legalism, and exclusion, becomes the norm; and they call that holiness.

The scripture that we just read (above), for the most part, has not been understood.  In many of the ancient writings it read,

"the only begotten (God),  which is in the bosom of the Father"

which if you compare  St. John ch.1  to  Proverbs ch.8,   it makes sense.  (speaking of the Spirit of God ... it's worth looking up)

We have always attributed this writing to Jesus (only).   We should open our minds to the fact of the Spirit of God,  "who is in the bosom of the Father";  ... and then we will understand the gospel that says "of His fullness we have all received".

This is the same gospel that Peter preached  (Acts 2:38,39),  and that Paul preached. (Romans ch.8, and 1 Corinthians ch.2).

We need to help people find their source of "light". That's what Spiritual ministry is. (St. John 15:5,26,27)

We bear witness to the fact that Jesus was of this "light" ... because of our own realization of truth that we find in the Spirit.  (St. John 15:26,27)

____

The Foundation of "Our Expression"

Anger, is a resident offence.  It doesn't give relief, and just works negativism, and despair.   So,   ... forgive.

Faith, on the other hand, is a healing agent.  It's not the size of one's faith that is important; but rather, the DNA of it.

Where did this faith come from ?  What is the originating source ?  Whose DNA is in this seed ?   (St. Matthew 12:28, ch.13:31,32,  and ch.17:19,20,  St. Luke 17:1-10,  Romans 10:17)

Our "existence" is one that is born of the Spirit.

Our "function", and works, are born of the Spirit.

Our "acts of faith" are not religious presumption (that comes from our training),  but rather are spoken to us by the Spirit.

One must take the time for Spiritual preparation in order to know the "armor" that has been given to us by God.

(Revelation 3:14-22, Romans ch.8, Galatians 3:1-9, 1 Corinthians ch.2)

_______

The "Real" Gospel  and  the Blood

In other places I have written about the inherent "Word of promise" that is found in the blood of God's messenger, the Christ.

And, I would also refer to the fact that God also holds precious, the blood of His children of Creation, and His children of obedience.

There is something about the Word of God being present in the very blood of a person .. that is eternal, and not to be forgotten. (St. Matthew 23:30-39,  Psalm 72:14, and ch.79,  Genesis 9:6, Exodus 12:13, Ezekiel 3:17-21, and Revelation 19:2)

In Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures, there is reference made to the blood sacrifice:  ... to Sin offering, the Covenant, Peace offering, Atonement, and Trespass offering, etc.

In other scriptures we read that God is tired of these sacrifices, and that they are not a religious substitute, for what God intends for His people.  (Isaiah ch.1)

We know that Jesus died upon the cross, and that his blood is precious in the sight of God;  ... and that his gospel is for the whole world:  but at the same time we don't believe that everyone is saved in the whole world.  This is the "beginning" of our call to understand that there is "something more" to this gospel of Christ;  and that maybe ... we should look a little further.

Best Explanation

We see Jesus rising in the midst of a culture that was hung up on laws, and rituals,  that were entrenched in their religion.

He suffered blame and accusation;  even whipping and crucifixion, for our sakes, that we might have the "light".  (Isaiah ch.53)   It is by this light that we are brought back into relationship with the Spirit of God. (St. John 5:24)   Our ministries need to be conscious that "this is the gospel".

When we speak of being saved by the blood of Christ, it should be understood that we have been exposed to the "light", even through the act, and cost, and extent, of shedding his blood.  (Hebrews ch.12)

But, God raised him up "again", and seated him with Him in His throne.  (Revelation 7:9-17)   God honors His own Word: and God honors His own ministries.

As we are obedient, in faith, to the Word of His Spirit, He will raise us up, too.  (Ephesians ch.2)

We are children of this "light", and heirs, yes, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, in this eternal Word of God's Spiritual grace, and glory.  We have now been given this ministry of reconciliation;  and it may  cost us, too.  (2 Corinthians 5:16-20)

 ____

The Armor of Light

You will soon come to realize that how you understand the gospel   will effect how you understand the "armor of light".  (Romans 13:11-14,    Ephesians 5:14-20,   Colossians 1:12,  1 Thessalonians ch.5,  1 John chs.1-5,  and  St. Luke 2:21-32)

The Christ is the living "Word of the Spirit", not a "person".  (Proverbs 8:20-36,  St. John 1:1-4,  1 John ch.1,   Revelation ch.19)   That's why the Body of Christ ... can be made up of many individuals.  (1 Corinthians ch.12,  Ephesians chs.2,4,  1 Peter chs.2,4)

In our churches today, ... we have people praying to Jesus, Mary, the Saints, and Angels;  but they don't know the Christ anointing.

To exalt a ministry beyond compare ... takes away from this understanding of the gospel, and usually ignores the Spirit of Christ.   It becomes a  traditional, legalistic, religion.

Here it is

We assimilate into the Word of the Spirit: or we don't.

Jesus said,

"I and the Father,   ... are one".

"He in me,  ...  and  I  in  Him".

"The words that I speak unto you, are not my own".

(See also:  Romans ch.8,  Galatians 2:20,  St. John chs.1,3,10,14,15,16)

How we relate to the "light" is the issue of the gospel.  Out from this "light" comes the Spiritual gifts, and the understanding of the armor of light, and the anointing of "sonship".

As we read Romans chs.4 and 5, we see the explanation of how our righteousness is found in our "obedient faith" to this Spirit Word, which is the "light".

____

The Gospel

"And this is the condemnation, that  "light" is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than "light", because their deeds were evil.  (not of God's Spirit)

For every one that does evil hates the "light",  neither comes to the "light",  lest his deeds should be reproved.  (exposed)

But, he that does truth comes to the "light" that his deeds may be made manifest that they are wrought (born and controlled)  in God."

- St. John 3:19-21

(comp. Romans 14:12)

"But, if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies ... by His Spirit that dwells in you.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God(not a Book),  they are the sons of God.

- Romans 8:11,14

We are not under a sacrifice covenant;  but rather, one of Word, and  "light";  faith, and obedience.  (Hebrews ch.8,  and  Romans ch.8)

The idea of Blood sacrifice, and Substitution, came out of Jewish religion, and Roman Catholic religion.  (the same from which Protestantism  ... came forth)

God has always sought "obedience" to the Word of His Spirit. (Hebrews ch.10)

Examples have been used by the early apostles to show how former men, and women, of God  were justified.   It's not by "blood sacrifice",  ... but by "obedience of faith".  (Romans ch.4, esp. Vs.12,  all of chs.4,5;   Hebrews chs.8-12)

(For those who are struggling with scriptures like Romans 3:22-26, you may find it helpful to refer to Isaiah ch.53, and also to compare ... with the  Amplified version of these scriptures)

When you read Hebrews 10:26-39, it would be good to read the first twenty-five verses ... to get an understanding.

These truths are not new to the gospel, but may seem to stand in the face of what you have been taught.

But I might also add that Spiritual gifts, Armor, and Spiritual warfare, may not have been prominent teachings in the "substitution gospel", ... either.

_____

    The "First-fruits" Offering   (helpful)

Beginning in Genesis, with Cain and Abel, we see an example of "first-fruits" offering.  Man has always been called back to this place of acknowledging the Creator.

The life, and cross, of Jesus (in the light of Isaiah ch.53)  are a form of this offering;  and we also, are called to this "repentance", and Spiritual relationship with the Father.

"Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;  and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us,  and has given himself for an offering and a sacrifice to God, for a sweet smelling savor."

- Ephesians 5:1,2

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,  holy, acceptable unto God,  which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world:  but, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

- Romans 12:1,2

To come to this understanding, you will have to face ... what the cross ... could mean to you.    (the "first-fruit" offering)

This is going to cost you.  You will now have to let your works be "born of God".  You will have to leave the darkness, and the subtle comforts that are not His idea;  and come to the light of His purposes.

Jesus did wonderfully;  but now, this is your call to the light.

"Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God  ... shall call."

- Acts 2:38,39

____

Isaiah prophesied of the coming of Christ, ... and the Body of Christ:

"Yet, it pleased the LORD to bruise him;  and He put him to grief;  when You (God)  shall make his "soul"  ... an offering for sin.  He shall see seed, he shall prolong days, and the pleasure of the LORD  ...  shall prosper in his hand.  (the intercessor)

He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:  by his "knowledge" shall My righteous servant justify many;  for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore, I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;  because he has poured out his "soul" ... unto death.  And he was numbered with the transgressors;  and he bare the sin of many, and  made intercession ... for the transgressors."

- Isaiah 53:10-12

There is no mention of "blood" in the above prophecy (as a "blood sacrifice"),  but we do know that this ministry ... cost him  (to the extent of) his blood.

It has ever been the Word of the Spirit ... that saves, and sets free.  (St. John chs.1,3,  1 Peter ch.1,  Revelation ch.19)

This is the gospel of light: not the gospel of blood sacrifice.  These are two different gospels.

You ask then, what about sins past ?

The answer is ... that this intercessory ministry of "light" ... brought forth the salvation of grace,  "not imputing man's sin unto him", that he might be reconciled to God through faith ... in the Word of this Christ.  (St. John 5:24, Romans chs.4,5)

We will speak more about this when we come to the author of ... forgiveness, and restoring grace.

I have heard preachers ... "pleading the blood", and "covering things in the blood",  ... but I don't think they know what they're talking about:  and, I'm almost certain that they don't have a word from the Spirit of God.  (or, scripture)

What do you think this means ?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, ... He that hears my word, and believes on Him that sent me, has everlasting life;  ... and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life."

- St. John 5:24

Why am I spending so much time on this ?  Because, until you are brought into the experience of His "light",  you will never experience  these things that we are talking about.

_____

The Gospel of "Light"

This gospel is different. It's not a gospel of us offering a "blood sacrifice" to an angry God;  so that we might receive forgiveness of sins.

Rather, it is a gospel of "God" bringing forth a living harvest;  and  our offering is one of "first-fruits", and dedication;  beginning with ourselves.  (as did Christ)

We need to see the "resurrection" side of the cross.  The time that we live in.  The time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The intention of God is to bring  (eternal) life,  and the reconciliation (bonding)  of humanity to His Spirit.

We wonder why we don't experience the "presence" of the Spirit of God like the early church ?  It's because  ... we don't have the  "gospel" of the early church.

______

The New Testament in My Blood

(1 Corinthians 11:25)

Some folks get caught up with the  "experience" of the cross, and then hold that up as a "sacrifice":  but they miss the Word of God that is coming through this experience.

The light that comes ... is this Word of salvation,  and grace.

"And I will make a new covenant with them.  I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.

And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD:  for all shall know Me,  from the least to the greatest.     For, I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities, will I remember ... no more.

How much more shall the blood of Christ,  (who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God),  purge your conscience from dead works  ... to  serve the living God."

- Hebrews 8:8-12, ch.9:14

Coming Through the Ministry of the Christ ?

The "doctrine of substitution", and "blood sacrifice", looks to present to God... something that will appease His wrath.

But, the "gospel of Light" sees something coming through to humanity.  The Word, the Light, the Spirit of Truth, and relationship with the Spirit of God.

These are two different directions of flow;  and I believe that we want the one that accompanies the "outpouring" of God's Spirit  in this earth. We must let that "old religious tradition" go if we are to experience the gospel of Christ;  and all that it is.

If "this is that", that was spoken of by the prophet Joel (Acts 2:16 -18), and that, that was prophesied by Isaiah;  then, we should probably wake up to it ... before it's too late.

We have been preaching a  "copy cat" gospel that we have learned from the traditions of our forefathers.   If you take the music out of it, and the "side-show" element out of it, there is nothing there;  and people are in darkness.

For scriptures that reflect what we are talking about, you will notice that Jesus often referred to the prophet, Isaiah. (St. Matthew 4:14-16  refers to Isaiah 9:1,2;  St. Luke 4:17-21 refers to Isaiah ch.61)

______

"For I beheld, and there was no man;  even among them,  no counselor,  that when I asked of them, could answer a word. (there was no ability to "hear" the Spirit)

Behold, they are all vanity;  their works are nothing: their molten (religious)  images are wind and confusion."

- Isaiah 41:28,29

_____

Now, Concerning the Christ: (Isaiah 42:1-9)  ...

"Behold My servant, whom I uphold;  My elect,  My soul delights;  I have put My Spirit upon him:  he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

He shall not cry,  nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench:  he shall bring forth ... judgment unto truth.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged till he has set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Thus says God the LORD, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out;  He that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it;  He that gives breath unto the people upon it,  ... and  spirit to them that walk  therein:

I the LORD  have called you in righteousness,  and will hold your hand,  and will keep you, and will give you for a covenant of the people, for a "light" of the Gentiles;

To open the blind eyes; to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

I am the LORD:  that is My name:  and My glory I will not give to another, neither My praise ... to graven images.

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare:  before they spring forth ... I tell you of them."

(read: chs.40-44,53,58-66  to see the prophecy of this gospel)

This is not a "get saved" gospel, as in the sense of "offering up a sacrifice" ... so that your sins are paid for.

As seen in the previous scripture, there is a Spirit of truth and judgment, reconciliation, deliverance, grace,  ... and "light" to walk in.

How many got "saved" last night, ... you ask ?  Yes, based upon repentance, and forgiveness, people can "see the light", and experience ... the grace of God's forgiveness.

But there is "much more" to this outpouring of God's Spirit;  and it goes on in the daytime, too.     Look for the  "light" of God's presence, and direction.  You can experience the great Creator.

Read the other chapters of Isaiah's prophecy that are listed on the previous page;  and see if you can actually get an understanding ... of how the Spirit of Christ moves in the lives of people throughout the world.

(read: chs.40-44,53,58-66  to see the prophecy of this gospel)

To ignore the Spirit of God, and accept Jesus as your Savior, is not Salvation.  In these chapters of Isaiah we read over, and again, that there is "one Savior",  that being the Creator.   (Isaiah chs. 42-46)

When Peter was preaching to the household of Cornelius  (Acts ch.10),  he didn't even have a chance to give an "altar call". They had been preparing themselves to hear a "word from God", ... and the Spirit of God moved upon the group, and they had an experience with God's presence.     Then, they ... were baptized.

What does it take to bring forgiveness ?   How does God see forgiveness ?   Does punishment have to be present ?     (Isaiah 43:25)

Jesus told a story that ... illustrates this point.   (St. Luke ch.15)

He told how a young man went to his father, asked for his inheritance;  and then, left and squandered it all on sin.

When he finally was broke, and came to his end, he returned to his father, and wanted even a servant's job.

Now, the way the gospel has been taught to us, the Father looked for the other son, ... who stayed home, and was perfect:  and when he found him, he beat him up, and took all of his wrath out upon him, so that he could forgive the "wayward" son.  (but, that isn't the story)

Jesus said, the Father ran out to meet the wayward son, brought him in, and gave him clothes, and a family ring, and a celebration.

God's love, and forgiveness, is pure, and without revenge.

____

Have we been taught to see God's love ?  No.

Have we been taught God's grace ?  No.  It's filled with "legalism".

God's forgiveness ?   No.      Only that ... with revenge.

We don't understand that true justice ... is limited only to God's law;   and that God's ultimate law is the Word of His "Spirit intent",  ... at any time.

In these next pages, we will return to the grace of God, ... and learn about the mighty presence of "Christ", and the anointing of the Holy Spirit   ... as expressed through Jesus.

"This is the condemnation,  that "light" is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than "light",  because their deeds were evil.  (helpful as well: 1 John ch.2)

For every one that does evil, hates the light, neither comes to the "light", lest his deeds  ... should be exposed.

But, he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

- St. John 3:19-21

When one has no "light",   he, or she,  walks in darkness, and is lost.  All the sacrifices in the world ... won't change that.

But when you hear the "words" of the Spirit of the Father, and walk in that realization of "light",   ... you will find salvation.

This comes through all of the obstacles, and "bloodshed", of the messenger's of God;  who have endured in God's love for us.  (Isaiah ch.53, 1 John 1:5-10)

Is it important to read the prophecies of old ?   Yes.  If Jesus and the early apostles are actually a "fulfillment" of these prophecies, as they claim they are;  then I would suggest that it's ... very important.

Walking around in "darkness", covered by the "blood of Jesus", is not  the gospel of Christ.

Is it possible  ... that we were wrong in our perception of the gospel since the fourth century gospel of the Roman church ?

Some folks have no source of "righteousness" for that which would cover their heart, and conscience.  They have no covering of "Spiritual truth" ... to enable them to stand in confidence.

They have no present "light" of salvation to protect their mind, and give them hope, and purpose.  No "sword of the Spirit" that they can use in the spirit world.  No protective shoes that would give them peace and stability.   No "great God" that they can trust in for protection.  Just plain ... "out of touch".

The "helmet of salvation" comes to replace the worry, and interrogation.  (in depth)

The experiences of life have challenged our depth, and it is into these depths that the "Word of the Spirit" must go.

Some people's prayer lives are made up of  "hearing".    But, some  ... are made up of  "talking".

We need fresh water to give to the thirsty.  Many of us have offered stale water, and sometimes even poisonous water.  (Jeremiah 2:13)

Our Gospel

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish,  ... but have everlasting life.

___

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him;  He has put to grief:  when God shall  make his  "soul"  an offering for sin.  He shall see seed, he shall prolong days, and the pleasure (intent)  of the LORD shall prosper  ... in his hand.  (not blood sacrifice,  but rather, "light")

He shall see the travail of his "soul";  shall be satisfied:  by his knowledge  (expression of Spirit Word - St. John 5:23,24)  ... shall My righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities     (the ministry  of intercession  - Isaiah ch.53,   and "light" - Isaiah ch.42)

___

And this is the condemnation, that "light" is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than "light",  because their deeds were evil.  (not of God)     (St. John 3:19)

___

We pray for you, and desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will ... in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding;

That you might walk worthy of the LORD  unto all pleasing,  being fruitful in every good work,  and increasing in the  knowledge of God;

Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness: giving thanks unto the Father who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in "light".  (Colossians 1:9-12)

(note: vs.14 - "through his blood"  is not in the original manuscript,  but has been added  into the King James Version)

The foundation of our gospel (as shown in St. John 3:16,17)  ... is not condemnation,  but rather love, life,  ... and  "light".

The gospel that many have been taught has been one of condemnation:  stating that we owe a debt for sin, and that Jesus paid the debt.  (as our substitute)    But, that isn't the gospel.

People are left at a loss ... with a debt (that has been paid):  and this is their foundation.  No wonder it's powerless.  They know nothing of the "light".  (nor, the Father)

____

"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world,  but that the world through him might be saved." (by "light", and by "knowledge",  reconciled to the Spirit of the  Father)

I don't want you to see the vengeance, and the blood, that man caused at the cross:  but rather, the grace and light of God's character.  This is the "forgiveness" that flowed even through the cross. (without punishment, freely with forbearance - Romans 3:24-26)

The flow of the cross is not an offering to God;  but rather a salvation and "light" that comes to man ... even through the offence, and opposition, of the cross.   (Hebrews12:1-4)

God has freely justified man through His forgiveness.  (Romans 3:24-26,  Hebrews 12:22-28)

It's important for us to understand which way the flow is going.   It's not that we can find God:  but rather that He  finds us.

For the Jews, this was the end of sacrifice.  It was the "call" to the promise of the Holy Spirit.    (God's "presence" - Acts 2:38-40)

And this is the condemnation,   ... that "light" is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than "light",  ... because  their deeds were evil."     (It's a fulfillment of  Proverbs ch.8,  and  St. John ch.1)

Forgiveness

I think many of us have been steered down a wrong road, when it comes to understanding forgiveness.

The gospel that has been preached  (in our time)  has taught that the only way God could forgive ... was to exercise vengeance.

We've been taught that because He is holy, that the only way He could forgive was to make somebody pay the "price".  This is a perverted form of the gospel, and is almost blasphemous, when you consider that God's grace is the author of "true forgiveness".

(Romans 3:24, ch.4:7,8,  ch.8:32,  Revelation 21:6,7)

In Isaiah ch.53, we read that God's servant ... would be despised, and rejected of men;  and that he would bare grief because of man's iniquities.   He would be oppressed, and afflicted, taken from prison, and from judgment, and be led as a sheep to the slaughter.

By his "knowledge" ...  shall God's righteous servant justify many.  He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.   (Isaiah 53:11-12)

He would experience much opposition, because of the "darkness" of humanity and their religions.   (Hebrews 12:1-4)

The apostle Paul wrote to the young preacher, Timothy, that God  (our Savior)  would have all men to be saved,  and  to come unto the knowledge of the truth.  (1 Timothy 2:1-8)

____

It is this "truth" (the Word) that Jesus Christ preached.  That is the Word of the gospel.  (see: St. John 5:23,24,  ch.6:63,  ch.17:3,4,8,14,17 - this is all  prior  to the cross)

The "Word" of the gospel is about Spirit, and life, and "light", and fellowship with God.   (the promise of the Holy Ghost - Acts 2:38-40)

_____

Most times when we think of forgiveness we think in terms of the past.  But just the term itself should correct that thought.

For-giveness, is to "give forth".  That's a decision that we make for our future.

When people have unforgiveness, they are froze up, and can't give someone ... positive, life-giving  "relationship".

Forgiveness ... is a freedom to offer something to someone, as the Holy Spirit directs.

Unforgiveness ... can freeze-up our ministry, and hinder our relationship with God's Spirit intent.

The message that Jesus preached was "repentance", and "forgiveness".  (Acts 5:31, ch.13:38, ch.26:18,  Colossians 2:13, ch.3:13)

The message that we are forgiven "because of a sacrifice" is not true.  We are forgiven because of God's grace.

Jesus went about preaching God's forgiveness  ... prior to the cross.  (St. Luke 5:20,  ch.6:37,  ch.7:48-50,  St. Matthew 6:9-15)

The early church believed in the grace of God's forgiveness for the repentant sinner ... based upon God's character;  not because of blood sacrifice, and written law.  (James ch.5,  Galatians chs.1-6)

______

Scriptures to "re-visit"

"In whom we have redemption (brought back) through his blood, the forgiveness of our sinsaccording to the richness of God's grace;  wherein God has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  having made  "known unto us" (light)  ... the mystery of His  (God's)  will ..."   (read the whole chapter  in its context)

- Ephesians 1:7

_____

"Be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God  in Christ forgave you."

- Ephesians 4:32

(This was changed in the  KJV to read "for Christ's sake",  to accompany the idea  of  "sacrifice".

This makes a huge difference ... as to how you look at the gospel, and God's forgiveness.  Instead of the emphasis being put upon reconciliation to God, and the gospel of "light", it is put upon sacrifice  for the forgiveness of sins,  ... and "going to heaven" when you die)

_____

"Giving thanks unto the Father,  who has qualified us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints  in "light":   Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear son:

In whom we have redemption,  (through his blood)  even the forgiveness of sins."  (once again, "through his blood" was added in to some versions)

- Colossians 1:12-14

_____

"If we walk in the light,  as He is in the light,  we have fellowship one with another, ... and  the  blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin".

- 1 John 1:7

This chapter of John should be read in the light of its context.  It is about  "fellowship", and "light".  Fellowship with God, Jesus Christ, and one another, ... in light.

This "cleansing" is not for past sin;  but rather a "removal" from unrighteous practices in the present.    (For a helpful understanding,  one may read  2 Corinthians chs.5,6,7,  St. John ch.15, and Hebrews 12:1-4)

In 1 John 1:9 ... we see the "forgiveness", and in vs.10,  the abiding presence of "Word" (light).

"And if any man sin, we have an advocate (intercessor) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  and he is the propitiation (expiator) for our sins:  and not for ours only, but also for the whole world."

- 1 John 2:1,2

Once again, we need to read what is being said.

This writing is about our present conduct,  and  has nothing to do with a "blood sacrifice";   but rather ... a living intercessor.

And because we are talking about the anointing of the Spirit of Christ,  which we should have, the chapter is set  in the same subject matter of conduct,  fellowship,  light, and  word,  as the first chapter.  For more on this see  ... ch.4:10.

____

Again, I ask you,  ... Which way is the "flow" going ?

This is the grace of God's light, love,  forgiveness, and  salvation, in operation,  and is  not  ... a  "blood sacrifice"  unto God ... for sin debt.

     Present, sinful conduct  ...

"Being justified freely  by His
(God's)  grace  ... through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  whom God has set forth to be a  propitiation  (Gk. "Hilaste'rion" - point of mercy and forgiveness)

through faith in his blood,  (see: Hebrews 12:1-4)   (once again this "grace of intercession"  is for the present  "Christ ministry"  which is sent to  free present people from unrighteous conduct, and darkness, ... as we see in Romans chs.1-16)

Past sin  ...

to declare His (God's) righteousness  ... for the remission of sins that are past,   through the forbearance of God   (the fact that He ignored,  and  passed over  former sins,  without punishment) "

- Romans 3:24,25

____

"For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world;  but that the world through him ... might be saved.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,  ... because their deeds were evil."

- St. John 3:17,19

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you  ... present your bodies a living sacrifice;  holy, acceptable unto God,  which is  your ... reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world:  but, be transformed by the renewing of your mind,  that you may prove what is that good,  and acceptable,  ... and  perfect will of God."

- Romans 12:1,2
